also people, I don't buy something that almost $50 based off one review. I watch or read as many reviews as I can and weigh the pros and cons that come from each review. Any responsible adult spending that much money should at least put a good bit of thought into it, so it's really wrong to bash Jaclyn for her positive review instead of thinking that it would be up to the buyer to fully educate themselves on a product in whatever way they feel necessary pre purchase.

Other than the black shade you added, the others look like the same color. Not even a blended gradation of color. It also looks similar to the Shaaanxo eyeshadow side of her palette collab with BH Cosmetics.

To me they don't look similar at all (except a couple of them), but then again I'm very picky with my dupes. Shannon's has more shimmers and cool toned colors while Kylie's has more mattes and is warm toned. If you look closely at the two, they are quite different, but from a glance I can see why ppl think they look similar overall.

I feel conflicted, because I don't like it when Jaclyn is upset by comments and the hate, and I love the women empowerment message.But I just get this feeling that Kylie is taking advantage of young girls with cheap products at ridiculous prices. I am a teacher (high school) and I just can't stand it when girls feel inadequate. Kylie to me is the instagram version of when magazines used to be on blast for making girls feel like they need product to make them pretty and be confident. In my opinion I know Kylie's makeup line is "the hype" rn but in my honest opinion after seeing it on you jac I think it looks a little muddy and not as "good" as other looks you've done similar to this and it looks as tho the shimmers don't work that well... But I have the ABH modern Renaissance pallet and it is my everyday go to bc the shadows are all so buttery and smooth and pigmented wish you could've seen the look I did yesterday but for $42 you get a good large quality mirror and a double ended brush so totally Worth it

Reading the comments, I really don't understand where the distrust comes from. You think Jaclyn only said these things because she was sent it? Why? Has she done that before in the past? (Not that I'm aware of. Jaclyn used the eyeshadow palette and she seemed to like it. From what I've seen, the shadows were decent--pretty pigmented and they seemed to blend nice on her. Bare in mind that whatever works for her MAY NOT work for you! She has dry skin and might use different products than you). You hate that Jaclyn reviewed this instead of doing another youtubers palette? Did she get requests for her to review the other palettes? You don't like how Jaclyn talks/applies makeup/explains something? Why are you watching her video? Why are you taking so much time out of your day to click on her videos, go to her comments section, click the comment box, and then type out a hateful message? (If you don't like how she does something, that's okay! You're entitled to your own opinions. No one can tell you how to have opinions. However, leaving a rude/demeaning comment? That's up to you. That is 100% your choice and is done of your own volition. There's no need for you to be an asshole. I have the shaanxo palette and they are some whar similar but not exactly. The packaging for KJ is way better though. You can't ask a shadow to defy rules of physics. For one, you can't layer light colors on top of dark. That's what she was doing. It's also hard to layer powers on top of one another to an extent and she already had used and layered 90% of the palette before hand.

Kylie has at her disposal a team of top notch cosmetic professionals that she works with her. She's hands on, and it's her thing! People have to deal with that this family has amassed great fortune as reality TV personalities from the infamous Kim tape, and their business brands are strong because of their fan base! To Jaclyn: If we're being brutally honest, you are obliged and more likely to give Kylie's palette a positive review because Kylie very blatantly used Champagne pop in her snapchat and that will have unquestionably raised Champagne pop's sales. Kylie would be unlikely to support your product again if you didn't support hers. I'd even go as far as to say that it's possible she endorsed your highlight (she specifically said Jaclyn Hill CP, not Becca) to elicit a positive reaction from you about her product later. I can confidently say that if a celebrity endorsed my product, raising my profile and sales, I'd be showing my support in return for that - if not out of gratitude, then for future benefits. Physiologically, if someone gives you a complement, you often return one - and not because it's the truth - it may BE the truth, but that's not WHY you return the complement (ask a psychologist this). To the haters stupidly complaining: That's why, instead of taking Jaclyn's word for gospel, put yourself in her shoes (she's not a God among men) and take her opinion with a grain of salt and keep it moving. Finishing on a positive note - I love Jaclyn and the bright energy she brings to her videos, I trust her - TO A REASONABLE EXTENT - and will continue to watch her and support her! Jaclyn, I for one enjoyed the review. I don't think the Palette is over priced at all. When we do the math each pan comes to a little under 5.00, which is about drugstore price, so its affordable, its not perfect but its definitely a solid palette with a slew of great neutral shades. We who actually know about makeup can clearly see that the Palette is nice! I got you girl! Keep slayin 'em and holding that head up high. I appreciated EVERYTHING you did for your consumers with what happened with Becca. I know 100% what you had a hand in and what you didn't and I think both you and Becca did everything that needed to be done for customers to keep me coming back! All of the swatches I've seen look amazing and the shadows seem to blend so seamlessly and smoothly! I feel like all of these colors, I have and it doesn't blow me away but just by her bringing out good products into her line, I will definitely be on the look out for Kylie Cosmetics! I would be an ass kisser too if I had this palette because it's obviously well made, you can tell from this video, Kylies videos, etc. Kylie made a bronze palette because she loves the colors, literally almost every eye look she wears is bronze. So of course she would make her very first palette bronze/warm themed. All of Kylies makeup so far has been pigmented and well made, and the only issue so far was the brush applicators which she fixed. Y'all need to sit down and be happy for once

morphes formula is completely different than kylies shadow lmfao. morphe has a way "cheaper" formula. its full of talc which is a common cheap eyeshadow filler and paraben which is a preservative. some argue that its dangerous for the eyes, some argue its safe, and some argue its not the best but its okay. kylies formula is talc-free and paraben-free. big differences. morphe isnt worth the hype at all though.

Basic shimmers like some from Morphe and ABH don't show up over mattes. I use foiled or colourpop over mattes and they work but those aren't like simple shimmers. And SO many of my clients don't like the super shimmery look so I like finding shimmers that are subtle.

Really depends, Kylie's are very mild shimmers and very close to the same color she had underneath, I have experienced both different outcomes, but doesn't necessarily mean the shadow it's bad

I really appreciate how you gave a fair review and testing,like how you mentioned the red toned shadows and that you'd jus applied a matte so the shimmer didn't have as great a pay off. I feel as if some people when regularly doing their shadow clean their face then moisturize then prime and then apply shadow yet when doing reviews do one of that and then complain when the product doesn't work as well,they almost set it up to fail and I appreciate how you didn't do that, thank you.
