Okay but honestly, when Jordan said “you look so pretty” I was literally thinking that in my head like 30 seconds before he said it. Her relationship with food is distorted and very unhealthy….it’s worrisome young, impressionable females see this and think oh yeah this is true because SHE said so…..Get into therapy about your relationship to food. …..MODERATION AND BALANCE are the backbones. If you have these you can eat most things. Sadly I fear her viewpoints towards food make weight loss UNSUSTAINABLE and isn’t that the goal here?????? Anyone can LOSE weight, why do you think the diet industry is so successful??? People continuously gain it back.

I wish more people understood that not everyone can do the “cold turkey” thing… and being judgmental about that is SO TOXIC. I totally get where Jaclyn is coming from because if I restrict myself to the point of weighing and measuring and counting everything, eventually I can’t take it anymore and I gain all the weight back plus some. By allowing yourself to still eat some of the things you love in moderation is how you make LIFE changes. Because it’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle. Keep doin you boo ❤️❤️
@maketheworldabetterplace22923 жыл бұрын
its about you not caring, if you allow toxic people in your life or their opinions to bother you, you will never achieve your goals. That goes to weight loss, happiness, relationships and so on. Insecure people hate on others not just people that trying to lose weight but people that are successful ect basically anything they can't accomplish so why bother? do you and put your own happiness first, concentrate on peace, things you love to and and that make you happy and cut toxic people out. Life is too short for bs :)

Quitting certain foods cold turkey is toxic thinking. Having a dependency on food is unhealthy. Food is here to sustain us. Not to preoccupy us. Anything outside of eating food to sustain us is toxic relationship with food.
@damienfischer2153 жыл бұрын
@@xoMsImperfect no you don’t have to want it bad enough you have to figure out why you have this poor relationship with food in the first place. Food should sustain us to live and nuroush us. It should not be an addiction. Pushing yourself to not want it will not be a long term solution. You need to get to the root of the problem. Absolutely not. Forcing yourself to not want what you’re addicted to? Relapse!

@@damienfischer215 ..nourish***also, that commenter said a lot of very true things that are helpful for others to hear so idk why on earth you had to nitpick what she was saying. @wickedmir37313 жыл бұрын
@@xoMsImperfect Food and/or treats is not something that should be " earned ", that in itself shows that your relationship with food is not a healthy one. How you view food is something that needs to be addressed first and foremost, and for too many food is no longer about nourishment or feel joy when you eat something yummy, but an addiction representing deeper underlying issues. You can force yourself to work out, to never eat " unhealthy " but whatever is forced will not last.

Not everyone does, because at least some of us have found fitness activities we look forward to…ones that energize us and that are fun. But, it took awhile for me to figure that out. I have had so many days where I pushed myself to get to the gym, but I was always happy I went in the end. I don’t agree with those who are criticizing Jaclyn for pushing herself to get on the treadmill and get exercise. I just think with so many other choices, and so many more interesting fitness classes and streaming programs, she’d enjoy it more if she switched to something else. I do think if one is overweight, they shouldn’t hate their body, but also recognize that carrying extra weight has health risks, limitations for some people, and decreases one’s quality of life.

Exactly! We are naturally lazy as humans but once you workout you never regret it and it makes your body and mind feel 100x better. Thinking you have to “want” to workout is stupidity, people that think that will have no drive or perseverance in life, that is unfortunate for them because it builds your character and makes you a better person. Forcing yourself to do something GOOD for you is so so important in building healthy habits.

You're killing it Jaclyn! Slow and steady progress is the way to go, it's awesome watching your journey. One thing about the waist trainer - I'd pass on wearing one, only because it can weaken your core muscles especially if worn during exercise. I can’t stand how people like to give their unsolicited opinion. keep doing you. being HEALTHY isn’t bad and for some reason people have turned “body positivity” into making excuses for not taking care of your self. do what makes you feel good, only you know your body, nobody else can tell you how you feel! so if you want to have a cheat day, DO IT! side note; so many people have turned “body positivity” into lying to each other, like when you see someone who clearly is not taking care of themselves. @@ulvegutten2056 use some context. She said not EVEN JESUS pleased everyone. Jesus is someone who was supposed to be righteous, never do wrong therefore liked by everyone. She’s not saying she’s like Jesus . She is saying even with someone as righteous as Jesus, someone will always find something to be mad about. So no matter what Jaclyn says or does as positive as it might be, folks will always find something to bitch about and invalidate what she’s doing. Ignorant people don’t understand the difference between “diet culture” and a lifestyle of mindfulness. I feel like diet culture is just when you take mindfulness to the extreme to the point where you are obsessing over things. But certainly it is good to go back to a state of being mindful about your lifestyle choices and doing things with intention.
@cblalo23 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, Jaclyn is showing a lot of diet culture mentality with defining foods as good or bad, healthy or unhealthy. The only thing unhealthy about any food is eating it in excess/eating more calories than your body needs.

@@cblalo2 I agree with you, I just think it’s maybe unrealistic to expect her to go on this journey without any of the human element to it, she seems to be trying really hard and also deeply struggling with some aspects. I know I'm generalizing here but the body positivity community is so toxic, they only accept people who fit into their very narrow definitions of body positivity and acceptance and often those definitions are just excuses for themselves to have horrible lifestyles, bad eating habits and to not get healthy and look after their bodies.. You, Jaclyn, are doing amazing and it doesn't matter what your end goal is, your're doing it for YOU and it's your body that you have to live with. As long as it makes you happy you just keep going!
