A musician touched by the hands of the creator of the Universe. The UK has some incredible, unique talent at the moment. With Jacob and Ren for a start it puts the UK among the global musical leaders. You know how incredible his mother is when Jacob wants her playing with him on the film score and the proms. I know enormous success brings equally enormous wealth but i hope its a long time before he stops climbing through the back window of the family home in London!

As a programmer, I like that he's basically a 100% "open source" musician. Whatever he accomplishes, he tries to explain how he got there to the tiniest detail, because the journey is just as fascinating as the result. To the point where he'll make multi-hour streams of him producing music. Whatever he "discovers", he wants everyone else to be able to do it too.

@@l3gendbaap963 Well he's been influenced and inspired by greats that can do what he does, but in their own way. Not saying what you said isn't a factor. But I think it's less that he's sure nobody can recreate his style (because he even does community musician challenges, which is interesting), but more that he does so much that he likes to share; music is his life's passion, and a passion mastered in the soul like this is always begging to be shared !

I think that's fundamental to his mind set about music. It's his major contribution to music a real freedom to find the new and I think he's still in the "finding his way" phase by trying everything and I'm looking forward to when he brings it all together. I don't mean he's not got his stuff together but I think his art is still at a start FOR HIM even though it's way ahead of most people.

Hello Dear Jacob Collier. I’m a fan and a life-long drummer. First of all I simply love your spirit. You are a blessing to my world and the world at large. And the frosting on the cake is your outrageously wonderful and contagious music that brings so many people together as they make music with you. What a gift for all. Music has been a blessing in my life since I was 5 playing pots and pans, then drum kit at 10 years old and on it’s gone to the present moment in my 79th year. I’m loving your video of “In the Room Where It Happens” which I’m surprised I haven’t seen before. I too grew up with music in my family…twin sisters who were singers. I love seeing you and your mom together…playing music together, continuing your home life with her as well as with the whole world. I had the opportunity to see you a few months ago at SF Jazz singing and accompanying yourself on piano only… totally divine. Thank you for sharing your life so fully with me and so many others. You invite us all in so joyfully to sing our hearts out and spread the largest joyful noise possible to the universe…a magical bonding that brings out our best humanity. I’m not sure you’ll get this comment but if you do and care to see what I’ve been up to in my drumming life, take a look on You Tube - Barbara Borden: Keeper of the Beat. Choose the Amplified: Classic Rock & Music History version. Carry on in your explorations and I know you’ll keep sharing.

So happy to find such a well made documentary about Jacob Collier, and hear from him, his family and his friends. Suzie Collier is an amazing person, and a wonderful mother, who recognized her child's talent and nurtured it without imposing on it. Her light shines brightly in her son. Suggesting to Quincy Jones that they just be friends before entering into a professional relationship showed a striking awareness of his own inexperience, without feeling inadequate or daunted. It's like he is the sorcerer to his own apprentice. He knows where he wants to go, and what to do to get there. For a kid who has been told he is a genius by so many people of renown, it's amazing that he's so grounded and unaffected. He has heard a whole new world of music, and he wants his audience to come with him, and hear it for themselves. There is a purity and innocence to him, that I hope will endure fame, for it can be a terrible contaminant. He embodies a spirit of generosity and delight, and he must always keep that room where he goes to nourish and refresh himself.

The Grammys aren't an achievement, these are nothing more than a consequence of his voyage diving, experimenting and having fun with his passion. The TV presenter giving the utmost importance to his Grammys trophies like they were the final achievement in Jacob's career: 'These are they, these are the five Grammys'. While Jacob says, 'yep, these are some Grammys, and they each have a different tone, look'. Keep diving, enjoying and sharing your music world with your passion forever. Thanks Jacob.

The Motzart and Beethoven etc of this era. Those videos with the many faces of Jacob are the stuff of my nightmares, that aside, his talent is mind-blowing in the best' way. Never heard of him before but, I have now. Thank you [Another by the by, Jacob's Mum, Susie, looks like that American' actress who was Woody Allen's side-kick for a long while. Her name escapes me.] Jacob Collier (and family) 🤔 thank you for sharing with us, your grounded, humble, well-rounded, energetic spirit and intelligence. Bless you, 🕊💜🕊🧡💛💚💙 To quote Chris Martin, "Do what resonates with YOUR soul" Amen

Mia Farrow. Suzie Collier is a lot more grounded I think! She has certainly done a great job as a mother.

Thank you for uploading this story! The man is hearing the harmony of the spheres; of the angels! I LOVE that he pushes the envelope and comes home like a rubber band in flexibility and structural integrity and endurance. What a delightful genius! Jacob Collier's universal popularity is unheard of.

I never want to make a person to a kind of God but it is so good to see if a human being use the gift of something to share and care other people. First you make your self good, your family and so on. THANK you do much for sharing this story of LOVE

What a wonderful done documentary encompassing everything I love about him and the many things I didn´t know about him and his world, especially his mom and family! So touching and emotional for me for many reasons... it´s so important to have humans like Jacob in our crazy world to remind us of the beauty of music and creativity that mankind is possible of doing! Great editing too!!!
