Bjj is going in both direction, the overall competency of all belt levels are weakening as more ppl are getting into bjj and schools need to keep their customers happy. On the other hand, there’s so much content available for serious practitioners that even a blue belt can catch up to a brown belt if he invest the time and effort into oneself
