@jessehamilton1806 ай бұрын
I think Josh looked relaxed because he was not in a position to be explosive for much of the match. Being on bottom, he was more or less framing for his life and Gordon was doing the wet-blanket waiting for openings. Even at the end, Josh's legs were expertly tied up to limit escapes.

@TopFearless6 ай бұрын
I think you can only afford doing that if you're really technical in various positions. If you go with the flow at 40% and end up in a position you're unfamiliar/uncomfortable with, you perhaps will need to use just as much strength to get out of it as you would have used going at 80-100% beforehands
@lordad6 ай бұрын
Lets not forgett Josh Saunders started BJJ-No-Gi only ~ 4 years ago . His biggest achievement so far was winning ADCC Trials in Sidney . Yeha he is good and yes he has potential but Gordon Ryan is on a whole other level being at the top of the sport for longer than Sauners has even been doing Jiu JItsu
@MrJSyer6 ай бұрын
@@TopFearless That's it. I can't afford to go 40% or I will end up in real bad positions if I'm against someone of my level or above. But, this is a good training strategy against someone a little less skillful. You will end up eventually in bad places, but in a way you can manage to scape.
@LibertyOverDeath-276 ай бұрын
@TopFearless You're right, but you also have to be very strong. Or have enough strength in reserve to negate the opponent's. You can be the most technical person out there, but if you fight someone with a significant strength advantage who knows just enough to not get immediately submitted, you're in trouble. Gordon is super technical but he definitely has the strength in reserve to match all his opponents so far.
