If I had to guess I’d say it’s a partially timecoded show for general audio cues, so then the sound guy just has to make minor adjustments. Same with the lighting guy. I’ve seen some pretty complex artists that do this.

@@evanturunen Soundengineer might have snapshots for the songs, but I'd mix a concert like this just live. I don't do a whole lot of lights other than basic stuff, so I don't have a lot say in this, but I don't think there's a whole lot of timecoding going on, from what I've experienced at work, if a band has a light tech, they know the songs and work mostly with chasers.

What I love about him is his sheer creativity and fearlessness. He sticks to music rules without being held prisoner by them. Exuberance and freedom - the whole package stretches boundaries until he climbs out of the box. I’m 75 and he is the same age as my grandson, who , when he was three, I encouraged him to express himself on the piano and interpret the story I was telling him, with sound..... which he did without ever having had a lesson - pure instinct.

On average people are pretty good at being at least decently in tune -- music and imitation is sort of built into us. That doesn't necessarily mean everyone can sing well, but most people can find a note.
@tuckerdrums3514
@tuckerdrums3514 4 жыл бұрын
My theory is that, if you have a lot of people trying to sing one note, then the note being heard will average out. So all the slightly lower then the note singers and the slightly higher then the note singers and the bang on perfect singers will all average out to create one tone if that makes sense. So your ear perceives the correct note.

Jacob: "I need two guys, one for drums one for bass, also a lady who sings in the background sometimes but not all the time, and for myself I will need a piano, an harmonizer, another drum set, a whole arrangement of percussions, upright bass, electric bass guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, a couple hundred ukuleles and this rock I found on the street that makes a cool G half Sharp sound" Manager "aight anything else?" 'To enjoy his music you must know music theory' is the most unbearable pretentious cringe thing ive ever read. If a song doesnt sound good then it isnt good. No amount of 'music theory' waffling makes a song sound any better to make it any more meaningful or soulful. In fact at that point its not even music. Its intellectual masturbation. 99% of musicians with no grasp of music theory make music that is far more authentic, beautiful, and emotionally resonant than the music equivalent of a ted talk jacob collier
