I’m a line cook at my red lobster and I have so so much to comment on all this. 1. Lucas eating the tails on the endless shrimp pasta is so funny but so relatable. That was something we added in early 2024, and every single employee was confused from host to manager. Why fix what wasnt broken? There was nothing wrong with the prior way of the tailless pasta 😂. 2. When I’m running my line for endless shrimp, my goal is to get the food out but hot and fresh. We’re trained to make every meal to order, hence your satisfaction with the hot food(:. 3. One of my favorite things to do is to bring up crab fest 2003 with the older employees/management. See I was also 2 when that happened so I was not there, but it was just as horrifying as it sounds. Fun fact: crab fest 2003 decimated the crab industry worldwide, not just for red lobster. 4. So I see the table number when I’m making endless shrimp refills/tickets. Sometimes the servers will tell me what’s happening if I see the same one over and over again. And yes, it’s normally one shrimp fanatic😂. People can eat so much shrimp I can’t even handle thinking about it. 5. I will be telling all my coworkers that theory with the sides and biscuits. It’s pretty funny because normally I hear the servers getting sick of running back and fourth to refill a tables biscuits. 6. I am starting to get nervous about this bankruptcy. As of right now my location is safe and that was confirmed recently by my boss. Seeing these businesses close isn’t fun. But that being said: they literally decimated the crab industry in 2003 and bounced back, I still have some hope they will.

The Cheddar Bay Biscuits are filling, but irresistible! I have asked the waitstaff for more (don't judge). My experience with endless shrimp mirrored yours, the waitstaff was always checking in with us, asking what we'd like next, no judgement on their part (or we didn't notice, or care, lol), it was always made-to-order. I don't remember the sides at all, it's all about the shrimp, 'bout the shrimp, 'bout the shrimp. I wouldn't have ordered the coconut shrimp, no specific reason, but that was the only type one friend ordered the whole time we were there, so I had to try it. They are DELICIOUS.

I feel like yall got each shrimp for around $1. They were prepared multiple different ways. Including drinks and a dessert, I think that is a pretty good deal. The person who had 25 plates got a GREAT deal. Lol! I love shrimp, I would probably tap out after 2 plates. Probably not the best value for me. Fun fact, shrimp is crazy high in cholesterol.

I know RL gets a bad rap, and it's not like anyone ever said it's the best restaurant ever, but I still enjoy the biscuits, scampi, and coconut shrimp. Last year my brother and I went to RL and I didn't get the endless shrimp but he did. Literally half if not more of the choices were sold out - and this was on a Monday, the only day it is offered so strange they were sold out of so many things already. I especially felt sorry for the poor server who had to keep coming out and telling us the crab Rangoon shrimp was out, only to return and say a few others, like the Walt's was also out. I was glad we were his first customers of the day because we were pretty chill about it and then he could be prepared in advance to tell customers from the start all the things they were out of lol. But I enjoyed my meal and the spicy pineapple margarita slapped!
