I love the way at the start of the solo at 3:00 they both switch tone at once. Like there was just the tiniest hint of communication in the music, and they both knew they were going far bolder and more upbeat into the solo.

I think the little riff at 2:45 from the trumpet was that communication, it’s ridiculous how just a handful of notes can convey a new trend in music for experienced musicians

he started building at 2:30, and did a hand gesture at 2:43 that the camera barely caught.
When I first listened to the Armstrong version, I was about 13, in my room. I immediately listened to it about 20 more times in a row, with tears in my eyes. It still gives me goosebumps.

i'm a trumpet player and (learning) pianist. this performance made me cry. so so beautiful, so so soulful... and the connection between two strangers and some instruments can't be beaten. what a wonderful world. thank you for uploading this. ❤
This made me cry. I struggle to find something to hold onto but music, so passionately played, is really one of the reasons I'm still around. I'm so glad I found your channel randomly.
The trumpet just sounds so clean, tender, soft and warm. The way they play just complement each other so well. Very soul healing and gave me big goosebumps. Applause 👏🏻
