Sup everyone and welcome back to another "Rugby Player Reacts" reaction video!
My name is Jacob McDonald and I am a New Zealand born rugby player that has fallen in love with the great game of American Football. What I haven't done is turn my back on my own sport and it's my goal to bridge the two as much as I can through videos like this.
This sport is straight up fun. I've enjoyed every minute of discovering the world of American Football and it's rich history and for the past almost 3 years I have been bringing that journey of discovery to my KZbin channel, in it's entirety.
In this particular series of videos I have given my unbiased, unfiltered reaction to each and every one of The Top 100 NFL Players of 2020 and their individual player videos that are released each and every year on The NFL KZbin channel. This is the 3rd year in a row that I've done this series and I can see it becoming an annual thing no doubt.
In this video I take a look at RUSSELL WILSON who is an NFL QUARTERBACK that plays for THE SEATTLE SEAHAWKS!
He was officially voted by his fellow NFL peers as Number 2 on The Top 100 NFL Players of 2020 list. Last year he featured at Number 25 on the list.

At the end of the day I am a fan of sport. A huge fan. I am a fan of athletic ability. Raw talent. I am a fan of moments in sport that make the hair stand up on your neck.. (mine are right now)
I love seeing bonds made between Fathers, Sons, Mothers, Daughters, Coaches, Players etc. I love seeing juke moves that make your jaw drop, blistering out-and-out speed, crunching blocks, runs and tackles that make you cringe. I love it all.
It's only now having watched the sport for almost 3 years that these plays mean more than just the impact you see. I can start to notice the parts of the game that get missed in the lead up to a big play like that and that makes the game so much better.
I'm not saying I know everything. I never will! And neither will you lol.. But man this journey has been a fun one so far and I hope it never ends!
There was a reason I was meant to search up KZbin that fateful day and embark on this mission to bridge the two epic sports so that we can enjoy both, just like I do.
The story goes, on a fateful day back in May of 2018 I decided to bring up KZbin and search for exactly what the title of this video says.
I wanted to find a rugby player out there that had taken an unbiased interest in American Football and could then give me some of their thoughts on the game and what the differences were.
To my surprise, that video did not exist ANYWHERE!
It was at that moment I decided to take it upon myself to be that person. I was going to be that rugby player that decided at 27 years of age to switch sports and dive DEEP into learning all I could about this new exciting sport.
I remember it well. I download my first screen recorder, turned on my camera, picked up my balls and went about creating my very first "Rugby Player Reacts to NFL" reaction video.

He played the final year of his college career at Wisconsin, where he rapidly established himself as a team leader. Russel Wilson seems a nice guy (I am definitely a fan), but he is very serious about what he does, and how he lives his life. He is very goal oriented, and has some lofty goals - above and beyond football.

I like Russell Wilson. Good guy. Great athlete. Very, very smart and savvy quarterback. He can definitely give defensive coordinators nightmares and heartburn.... But better than Mahomes?!? C'mon, man. That's, ummmm.... that doesn't hook up, based on what I'm seeing. Here's the proof, in my book.... With the Super Bowl on the line, Mahomes engineers three TD drives in 6 minutes to win. With the Super Bowl on the line Wilson throws an interception at the goal line, adding another brick to the castle that is Tom Brady's legacy. Ok, in fairness, a great deal of that is coaching. Andy Reid is a genius (who looks a lot smarter with a generational talent for a QB). Pete Carroll is a fraud who should have been drummed out of the game for that stupid play call. However, when they really needed the spark, it was Mahomes who suggested the most clutch play ever: "Do we have time to run Wasp?". When Wilson got that call from dumbass Carroll, he should have said, "Hey, moron! We're at the 1 yard line. We've got an unstoppable battering ram in the backfield. Let's give the ball to him, win this game, and go home". Great leaders lead. Great players deliver in the clutch. Choice between Mahomes and Wilson? Not a tough decision.
