a lot of people, especially in the gaming space seem to think that North America, Europe and Asia are the only places on the planet (and that Europe is a small place when it's one of the most populous places in the world), especially obvious when people just say "Europe" instead of PAL, or "European units" instead of Metric/Celsius "European dates" instead of standard or international dates, all of these things are used by pretty much the entire world aside from North America or even JUST the US. People in KZbin comments (almost certainly Ameircans) will also go "eww bri ish" or something like that when you do something thats a standard in every dialect other than specifically US English, like spell it "colour" or "realise", like even Canada uses those spellings.

the PSP Street is pretty solid just as a low-cost, low-risk gaming device similar to the 2DS. I'm in Australlia and my friend had one back in the day just for playing games on the schoolbus, only issue with it was no Ad-Hoc multiplayer so me and my other friends who had PSPs could play stuff like LittleBigPlanet, ModNation Racers and WipEout together on the bus or at recess and poor 'ol Ben who got a PSP Street had to play solo, didn't seem to mind too much though.

Yes the back is a bit finicky, but, if you know how to take it off it is actually easier to get acces to the disk drive, that squeeky noise is because the motor slips on a gear that gets sticky because of the lubricant sony used (very cheap and horrible stuff), clean that out of there, and it works like new! I've put in a battery from a ps 4 controller which is 50mah more than the stock battery, gives me great batterylife.

Yes the PSP is region coded; the one you have there is a region 5 edition (according to what I noticed it says on the box). Not sure if the games you have there are region 5 or not. (Because it is modded, however, it may be that the region code is irrelevant; as this is something that can be done when using a modded/jailbroken device I believe). (Correction - as someone else has said the region code is for movie discs, the games are region free. A mod/jailbreak still would allow this to be no problem. An Action Replay would also allow multi region either way).

My psp street has a really great screen. I have every psp model modded and the street is the one I take everywhere because it’s quite durable. Cheap feeling and loads of plastic, but that’s exactly what makes it durable for travel. Like a big ol dmg. It doesn’t have internet and I kinda like that, it has all the games I could ever want on it from ps1 and psp. Because I use it as my travel psp I’ve grown super attached to it, as a stock psp it’s horrible, but you can do a super big battery mod that utilises the umd drive spot, (you just glue the back on permanently and only play games from memory card) I found myself putting a couple of tiny totoro stickers on it and it feels like a good friend. Now getting a normal psp and putting on a glass lens, ips screen and larger battery is obviously better in every way shape and form, good bang for buck. The street screen should be way better than what you’ve got there which is a shame, it literally shared the same as the 3000 internals and screen specs from memory. I just think it’s like a neat cross over between a dmg and a psp. I fully agree though that it’s not worth the price in America but in Europe and Australia (pal countries) they’re pretty common and cheap if you know where to look. It’s become my favourite psp due to practicality, size and weight and like I said it’s fairly durable. If I could recommend one psp to someone who doesn’t have one it would be the psp go though now that you can expand the memory so much
