Every used Ps4 i have ever opened has had dead roaches in it.. there was a big talk a while back when the fat ps4 was released that there was something on the chipset that released a smell they are attracted to.. best thing to do is put ant powder on the inner shell with a barber brush..

The vast majority of people who buy consoles just plug them in and leave them in the same spot for 7-10 years until the next console comes out. I would guess the majority of console users don’t ever open up their console. Then take into account some people might live in a dusty house house, or dusty climate, maybe there is a smoker in the house, cats/dogs - basically stuff builds up over the years through the air intake and if when it’s not cleaned it ends up being filthy.

My 1st red flag is that for console #1 in the listing showed, it didn’t say “refurbished” it just said PS4, Controllers, and 16 games…..which u did get and u knew it was used because of not only the image but it’s from Goodwill.
