I did it this way: x/2 = 3x - 1 Multiply both sides by 2 x = 6x - 2 Set the left hand side equal to zero by subtracting x from both sides 5x - 2 = 0 Solve the linear equation Add 2 to both sides 5x = 2 Divide both sides by 5 to get: x = 2/5

X/2=3x-1 is the equation so, We can simply multiply:- We can multiply the denominator “2” with 3x-1 , if we do cross multiply. Then we get x=6x-2 So, we can bring x in one side like this:- X-6x=-2 Now, X-6x is ; -5x. So we can say, -5x=-2 No, 5 is in multiply form so If we bring the -5 in the opposite side we get ; X =-2/-5 We can easily cut the minus “-“ So finally our answer stands to X=2/5
