@@JacobslifeinVegas Just watched the video. Thank you. My favorite local casino. Very generous with the comps and love the prime rib special. Btw, a little over 2 years ago when I just moved here to Vegas, I was on the City of Las Vegas website and they had a link to one of your videos on there. Can't remember which one but it was very informative as always. Didn't think much about that at the time but have since gone back to try and locate it again so that I could ask you about it but haven't seen it since. @@JacobslifeinVegas When I said "they had a link to one of your videos", I think the correct term would be "they had one of your videos featured on their website." Now they have numerous videos but they now feature their own "City of Las Vegas" youtube channel. I wish I was a "techie" enough that I knew how to go back and pull up that video of yours on their website. lol I guess I realized that you knew nothing about that because you never mentioned being on the City of Las Vegas website on any of your informational videos.

Another Fantastic video! My complaints about the Golden Gate: a) Initially (about a decade ago) they got-rid of a fabulous sandwich shop that was always busy (toward the south end of the building). b) Then (a couple of years later) they closed-down the restaurant on the west-side - adjacent to Main Street. We used to have lunch at one and dinner at the other - and gamble the rest of the day (mostly at Golden Gate). Now Binion's, Fremont, California, & El Cortez Casinos are our main hang-outs while vacationing in Vegas. I don't quite understand why Derek Stevens (CEO of Circa, Golden Gate, The D) - shut down both eating facilities (in Golden Gate). Loved - and still miss - both restaurants.

I have to say, we have lived here since the 90's. Some parts of Vegas have a weird feel/ vibe. I don't know if it's old Indian ground or what, but there are some areas that are very uncomfortable, just my experience. We had a former home in the SW part of town, the whole area where the house was, not just the house, had a bad feel to it. I was so happy to move. I had weird experiences in the house, I was on the patio cleaning off the patio furniture. My sliding glass door shut & locked on it's own. I was locked out of my own house, lol, I had to have a neighbor call my husband at work, to come back and let me in . I keep all doors locked even when at home so, I had no way of getting inl, it was the weirdest thing! My cell was inside, I could see it sitting on the table, I heard the lock click, you. have to put pressure on it with your finger & hold it down to lock it. Only happened that one time but that house had a feel like you were never really alone in it. This was over on the Warm Springs and Durango area

lol laughing with jacob here when he starts showing the doors, I stayed once at the El Cortez, our entire crew came out for march madness this was like 10 years ago and I was the last one to leave vegas just due to me being cheap with flights and not wanting to fly out on the more expensive sunday flight. We stayed on the strip for this trip, but I had about 18 hours alone without a room, and was able to get a room at El Cortez for PEANUTS (can't remember the cost, it was something nuts like $17) they put me in one of the old vintage rooms, I really didn't care and thought it was kind of funny even. They didn't have an elevator to the room, you had to walk up like 2 sets of stairs and walk down the hall way but the door to the room was SO tiny that I had to turn sideways and duck to get in and the bathroom door was even smaller than that! Worst yet when I got into the room I could not figure how to turn a light on and had to call down to the front desk, they told me when you first walk into the room theres a light switch that is really just a circuit breaker to cut the power on or off for the room and to flip it on and then go turn on a lamp and boom it worked, story somehow gets worse if you can believe it but the room was blazing hot even for spring break. I could not figure out how to turn the A/C on and yet again had to call the front desk they are like oh you are in a room that we haven't switched the A/C on for yet for the season, we will send someone right up! A guy is knocking at the door and I open it he has a ladder...a straight up ladder he brings into my room and climbs up it to lift a ceiling tile and with a big wrench was cranking on something and asked me to hit the A/C and it WORKED! but I remember holding the ladder for this guy so he didn't fall. The whole thing was very comical for me obviously, my other favorite part was when I saw the 2 bottles of smart water they had provided for me with a huge note saying if I drank them I would be charged $5 each. LOL I hit a royal flush playing video poker, and saved a boat load leaving monday instead of sunday like my friends plus made an extra $1,000 so I can't complain, plus I have the experience.

Years ago we drove there from Los Angeles on Thanksgiving. I went with my husband at the time and his brother with a friend. We got there in the evening and everything was booked. We finally found an old motel on the strip with a couple vacant rooms. Our room had red velvet walls. It was hilarious. Very old school Vegas. The brother and his friends room was on the corner of the motel and in the shape of a diamond. This didn't matter to them because they spent the whole night playing the tables. We went to sleep at a decent hour and woke up the catch a Denny's special and walk around the strip. The Mirage had just opened so it was a big attraction at the time. We saw the white tigers. Funny thing is pulling in on Thanksgiving there was no restaurant that was serving the traditional dinner everything was booked. We had to settle for Mexican food. It was a fun, memorable experience.

Stay at the Rio on the 50th floor. I saw an apparition in the mirror, I was looking directly at it. The sheets on my husband’s feet lifted up about 5 inches and dropped. This happened around six time in a row. At 2:20 am while we were sound asleep the stereo turned on full volume, as soon as my husband opened the doors from the bedroom to the living room the music cut off.
