TIPS FOR ANYONE DOING THIS EXERCISE FROM MY EXPERIENCE -Be patient! It takes a while for you to see significant improvement in your breath strength -Posture is everything. Do this while standing up straight. After mastering breath control while standing up, you can practice it in other postures. -Keep your breath outflow steady. Don’t suddenly release a lot of breath. Day 1- 0:31 ( I’ll update) Day 2- 0:26 Day 3- 0:34 Day 4: 0:39 (after a few attempts I hit a peak of 0:48) Day 5: 0:41-0:50 (I’ll be doing ranges now since it’s easier to log) Day 6: 0:36-0:43 Day 7: 0:38-0:41 (I did this laying on my back to ensure I breathed from my abdomen) Day 8: 0:36-0:45 Day 9: 0:43-0:55 (this was after a week long break, surprisingly. I improved my posture in this exercise.) Day 10: 0:45-0:55 Day 11: 0:40-0:45 Day 12: (This was after a long break) 0:45-0:49 Day 13: 0:46-0:50 Day 14: 0:50-0:53 Day 15: 0:45-0:51 Day 16: 0:51-0:52

Start off very quietly so you use less air, and progress from there you'll be shocked at how much it actually works. Same thing with singing, warm up really quiet and work your way up, it's just a good way to find your medium, cause keep in mind that you don't have to sing loudly into a microphone.

breathe in through nose, hiss out through mouth. Also don't breathe through lungs, use diaphragm( your stomach basically). Most singers use their diaphragms.

to start, look in a mirror and take deep breaths. try to keep your shoulders and chest from moving, and make sure your abdomen is noticably going in and out. another helpful thing is to raise your arms above your head and pay attention to your ribs. they'll go up when you raise your arms. take a couple breaths to feel how your ribs feel when they're up, then slowly lower your arms, but try to keep your ribs in the same place. these things are tricky at first but if you do them often, it'll get much easier :)

Okay, now I tried it again I had 48sec, last time I checked Ihad 35secs so it improves as you practices. It is important to really give attention to your breathing, breathe in very deep with your diaphragma (belly, make it 'bloated'), and then really control the escaping air very well as you exhale. You'll get there! We'll get there.

yo guys, listen here: first of all, take a big inhale and THEN start hissing out. Try to gradually inhale a little more each time you practice. At first, it should feel like there's too much air in your lungs and that it's not comfortable, but it will get better over time. Oh, and pleeeease learn how to breathe from your diaphragm, it's crucial. This way, if you practice often, you'll get to be able to hiss out even more than one minute. GOOD LUCK LOVE YOU ALL!!

For a better understanding of this exercise, lay down on your bed, put a book on your belly, inhale using your nose, to belly out and afterwards make the "sss" sound. It's important NOT to use the chest voice for a longer time to exhale.

It works if you focus on your breathing.. imagine your lungs are filled with air.. and when u "SSS" imagine the air goes down (decreasing) until your lungs is Empty... :) well I'm just telling.. but yeah it works for me.. I last for 55 seconds only but yeah it almost works xD

When you do this and use your diaphriagm, you will really notice a difference right away. People always have the misconception that air is stored in the lungs but not just here. Try it right away! Do this with just expelling the air straight from your lungs then try again but focus on pushing the air out from the stomach area instead. You're breath should last a little longer. I learned this from a friend who went to school for music and is also the lead vocals in their church band.

finally made it till the end .. I practice everyday for 30 sets of Doing that sssss.. Sound .. For 35 seconds .. Wow I improved .. Able to make that ssssss.. Sound till the end ! March 29 Day 1 - ✅ 30 sec max tbh March 30 day 2 - ✅ around 35 sec max March 31 day 3 -✅ surprisingly reaching 45 sec with ease, going upto 50 sec max (attempt to quit smoking too) April 1 day 4 -✅ 69 sec done nicely. Can barely do it right after smoking but repeating helps APRIL 2 DAY 5 -✅ 69 sec done, on just 2nd attempt surprised but. It does a lot of breathing in and at the end squeezing out and mid trying to hold a straight line of shh. +5 seconds extra in last attempt April 3 - ✅ new experience after eating and being on full stomach I could barely do 45 sec yet I finished 69 with few attempts and dying. Did it In morning again, ✅ done 69 sec with much much ease + 13 sec extra April 4 =I ate a lot so unable to.. Can barely do 30. Did upto 1min and when I tell u I almost died. It's true. Finished 69sec shivering. Did shh instead of ss that helped April 5-6-7-8 - no. Sad. April 9- first attempt 30sec... Second attempt 54 sec and death. 69 sec finished after hard work April 10 - ✅ over 50 sec even after smoking in first attempt April 13-✅ April 14-✅ April 15 - ✅ April 16 - ✅ missed by few seconds

30 DAY BREATH TRAINING CHALLENGE FOR MYSELF! With hands on rib cage: Day 1: 0:44 ->pretty good, just a benchmark Day 2: 0:47 -> proud of myself since I did this at 11 pm and I’m just pooped. Didn’t do any other breathing exercises, but really pushed the extra mile. I think I could’ve gone longer but I was struggling. I felt this weird, lightheadedness towards the end, but it was also like a boost of energy and breath? Pulled in stomach while pushing ribs out to achieve that. Ultimately, proud 😊 Day 3: 0:47 -> not the best today. Didn’t get to do a full training, so my breath was inconsistent and not as supported as it could be. I’ll do better next time though

I am impressed by your work guys! It really did helped me, I also love singing and I do singing but few years back if I peek into my past then I would say I was worst at singing but after browsing so many videos on KZbin I came across this one! And Now I can even take high notes as far as I can! and it is just bcoz of u.. I always watch and practice along with ur videos! And I m so happy that I've got my real voice just I had to improve it but still I m working on it! All I can say is u guys are working hard and u r also making most of the singers who have talent but cannot afford to take vocal classes...Just THANK U!!

I have a bit of anemia and I feel like i cut my breaths too short so I'm going to try and get to at least 50 secs in a few days. 3 attempts each day i do this (at minimum) 1st day: Attempt 1: 0:30 Attempt 2: 0:32 Attempt 3: 0:35 Attempt 4: 0:33 Attempt 5: 0:32 I can't breathe automatically now help. 2nd day Attempt 1: 0:32 Attempt 2: 0:32 Attempt 3: 0:37 Attempt 4: 0:39 Attempt 5: 0:35 Just a day and I'm already seeing results, reminding myself that the 1st day I did this I was overfilling my lungs just to make it to the 0:32 mark. So I'm happy with the results, i think I'll be able to reach my goal this month :D

Omg I finally finished!!😂😂 All this time I thought I would never be able to finish and felt like I was dieing😭. started off being able to do 15sec 3 weeks ago and hated the fact that one day I can do 40sec then the next I could only do 20sec, but I gureentee if you do this consistently everyday you would eventually get through this👍 Good luck to everyone!

(I’ve had some vocal training in the past but I moved so I haven’t been able to make the jump on finding a vocal coach.) Day 1: 33 seconds (not bad but I could do better) Day 2: 22 seconds (how did I decline??)

So far I can only make it to about 35 seconds and I’m going to keep practicing until I’m able to hold it for 1 minute at least. And thank you for making these kinds of videos. I love watching them and learning from them.

Been singing for a while now in small contests and simply for fun. But I guess I haven't mastered breathing at all. Anyways, logging my attempts here! Will stop logging once I consistently make it to 60 seconds while letting out a consistent amount of air. **AUG.07** #1 Attempt - 24 seconds [Strong "tss" sound] #2 Attempt - 37 seconds [More controlled, but weaker "tss" sound] #3 Attempt - 32 seconds [Started out strong (forgot to control breathing ahaha), but lessened the air as I went along] #4 Attempt - 50 seconds [Strong start for a second or two, but kept the "tss" sound very light afterwards] Peak: 50 seconds, but I don't like how I did it so I'll go with 37 seconds peak time. i do vocal lessons from a young age but i stopped singing for a while. Today i tried this and got 45 secs on the first try. I'll update if there are any improvements.

Tip to last longer: take a DEEP breath in before making the sound, you’ll still need some pauses but it helps
