That’s Orion xtr2500s. He said it’s 7000 at .8 which will not do inside a vehicle. Big D ramped the voltage up to get that number and it’s dynamic not certified. Blowing fuses isn’t a dream it’s a nightmare bc he’s got way too much current going through those 4 wires. He needs 2 runs per amp and it looks like it’s one run into 2 going to the amp. That is a fire waiting to happen

I've had my 15" HCCA's for 4yrs now and they have been the best subs I've ever owned and I use mine everyday.Im by no means a competition guy,I built mine for my daily work truck.One of my other trucks has a single 15" big bang 2 it was recommended by a local shop (its Ok) but I have a cherry Caddy EXT that's about to get atleast 4 HCCAs in it.

Rule of thumb on ported boxes is small boxes need abs to be over powered , and you can under power bigger boxes. I think he could be just as loud if he unhooked the top 3 and left them in as passive subs. I had the same sub in a 7.5 cube box in the same Ext cab truck and had to do similar bracing cause them trucks roof disc Soo much. Great video!

My XTR 2500.1Dz burnt the tinsel leads on my 152, but the coil was unharmed. I've never had any trouble from the Orion coil. It's always the tinsel lead. I switched up from a single 152 on an XTR 2500 to two 124s on a Taramps MD 5k. Built a 4th order, 2.5 sealed and 4 ported. Plays everything. Love my HCCAs! Can't wait for the next run to come out. I want to get 3 more 152s, and put them on a 12k.

Can imagine he ran those top 3 at 180° on the Amps. That's crazy running each amp to each sub. I loved my two Orion HCCA 12s I had back in the early 2000s. Had a JL500.1 running them in the back of my hatchback. In 2days age more of a SQ guy but I still love watching these for ideas as I want my new setup to look good for this year's events.

I hate hearing everybody saying he needs the proper box, he needs the proper Port, but his setup is blowing smoke like my supercharger from my Camaro. And it's only an extended cab truck. Maybe in a suburban will everything be proper, right? Enjoy what's in front of you, quit with the horrible criticism. Specs from manufacturing mean recommendations, because I know that ( extending on a supercharger) I wouldn't need a 5 inch exhaust to make optimal performance. Great hat trick for this"unorthodox" build. I like your build. I'm gonna be in my fourth build, and I'm doing an avalanche with an oversized build because in my recent 2nd suburban build, I found out that what I lacked in SPL, I gained tremendously in SQ.

Love Orions subs! Jacob if you get another amp try the red 3000 orion amp wire it to .5 ohms and you easily get 5000 rms watts for your next powerful no budget sub. Get an American Bass or a Orion 12 Jacob. These 2 brands are nice. If I didn't have a budget I would of went with 2 18'' hcca orion subs and built a bigger box than the one I have.

I actually tried that before I started my wall for just the 5 orions I think only did a 152.9 something close to that im just about dont with a 20 cube flat wall for the 5 haccas with a huge driverside slot port

This could work if it were 3 sets of Isobaric pairs (3 x 2 subs mounted face to face) but it would only be a little louder than 3 of the subs by themselves. But could be tuned to 28 or 30 hz and would sound great.

Tony Schaff I think you’ll be much better off with 4 subs and a lot more port area. If you can shoot for about 52 in sq of port area for each sub and a minimum of 3 cu feet of usable air space per sub. That will give you a lot deeper range and won’t choke the subs. I’m pretty sure you’ll see significant gains.

This set up may look “wrong” but if you’ll look, the back sides and top is boxed off. So it’s not necessarily waaay undersized for this many subs BECAUSE he’s firing to front of the cabin, not up in open cabin, so this will be tuned a little high. But not as high as if it were just the box without the sides and top. Prolly 48-50hz I’m sure still.. And it will take a little more power to make them move. I could see how this would work out fine with that top and side plates tho

Damn, this video takes me back to 2007. Expensive stereos in cheap chevy truck and Lil Wyte Oxy Contin on repeat. I loved this shit right after high school. I stumbled on this because I am thinking of doing a little stereo in my new Blazer. I definitely won't have anything like this tho, If I even get a sub I don't want it to take up any usable room. Thanks bud actually starting the wall build now,yesterday I took out the american bass and replaced it with a 12 inch port I only metered 151.2 so I'm stating my wall build now, I explained to Jacob the box was just suppose to be for 3 and I was just experimenting with the 3 on top still got so many comments telling me the box is too small no shit lol 😅 😂 🙃 😆 but thanks for the cool comment im just a old school basshead that loves all bass
