I want to be an imitator of God and I can love again and step back into a relationship even when I’ve been hurt. 🔥🔥🔥
@kimspencer7677 Жыл бұрын
Every time someone hurts me I make a beeline to the Lord. I try not to run to anybody else till I hear from him. I found that it's a safeguard against slandering & gossiping. Learning to hear HIS voice in the small things & obeying is the key to intimacy with Jesus... Ps. 15:4b...who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change his mind! It doesn't mean that I don't hurt...embrace the pain temporarily & obey...BECAUSE HE IS SO IN LOVE WITH US!

Some things are human brokenness not betrayal. This is a person that just made a mistake. 💜💜
@OG_Genesis2163 жыл бұрын
This was such a good discussion. The ladies talked about "first betrayals and heartbreaks from family; forgiveness and emotionally re-engagement", and the ending prayer that states "not to be a self protector of our hearts to but give it to you (God)". This discussion was needed because true forgiveness is not always easy, but it is necessary. The devil will try to trick our minds with thinking that some friendships or relationships need to be ended because of misunderstandings, but God knows all, and if he can place it in our hearts to hear the other person's perspective, he can mend misunderstandings and allow us to see deeper than the surface. He'll give us discernment on if the person is genuine in their remorse or not and allow us to proceed from there. My prayer is to learn Godly forgiveness. Sit still when he says and move when he says. Amen 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Forgive and release, or forgive and continue the relationship. The only pool we have from which to build relationships is a pool of broken people, that are still being perfected. I hurt my friends too...

I have always been a halfway house for person's dysfunctionality. Through forgiveness I have been free. I have learnt to forgive in advance. When that person comes attacking again am not hurt. I find myself feeling pity for them that they're in bondage if only they could let go. Forgiveness is powerful.

In this season of my life, I'm going through these things in my family, and it has caused me depression... Few days back, I was thinking, how could Jesus love and be good to the people around him, when in the fact no one was loyal to him, especially Peter who denied him and judas who betrayed him... But anyways Jesus loved them... So, in this process of figuring out how can I... This conversation has been a blessing... Thank you to each one of u... Specially Christine Cain...

This is the first time I’ve watched this episode, and I’ve having this revelation for the past week or two (or so it seems). My mouth literally dropped when you said this! Literally word for word! LITERALLY WORD FOR WORD!!! God bless you!!! If Judas had repented, he, too like Peter would have been forgiven, too.

Thank you ladies this was really good advice. I grew up watching and experiencing a lot of abuse so forgiveness is hard for me. I’m quick to cut people out of my life. I make a real effort not to hurt other people so I take it hard when others hurt me. I often don’t express my feelings because I’m trying to keep from hurting others especially if it’s a relationship I care a lot about. When I keep my feelings inside like that and the other person keeps trying to say or do things to hurt me I eventually get to the point when I just stop caring about them or the relationship. I find that sometimes people think I am such a nice person that they feel like that they can say whatever they want to me without regard for my feelings.
