I'm from the X but I'm very familiar with that area, so I'm glad he kept it 100. Rappers never talk about the good, they always speak on the bad like their hood is the worst place ever. That neighborhood was overall safe and nice. I'm sure it had its moments, but at least when I was around there in the late 90s and early 2000s very calm.

All of the focus was put on glorifying our people having to grow up in these conditions, yet I saw a street named after a Marine Lance corporal. Possibly a better role model, yet no focus or attention given to that. Let's be honest, jada is one of the coldest MC's, but he doesn't rap about black empowerment. If anything, about everything that destroys black development and consciousness. He literally was proud of having to stash drugs by the fence... I don't care what anyone says, we all know it's true what I'm saying. How many children living in that environment aren't going to get lucky and land some major record deal and become rich enough to leave that environment?
