About Youngsang Cho
Youngsang Cho is Organic Farmer. Cho learned Natural Farming from his father Hankyu Cho(Korea Natural Farming, KNF) who advocated environmental agriculture since the 1960s. Cho family has been organic farming for the third generation. Cho served in 706 special forces and graduated from Aju University (Bachelor, Chemistry) and Chungnam National Uni (Master, Horticulture). Cho has entered the Ph.D. course from the Department of Agricultural Biology at Chonbuk National University. Cho started organic agriculture in 1989. Through decades of practice and research, he created a new Ultra-Low-Cost organic agriculture system based on his father's farming and Asian traditional farming. He founded “JADAM” in 1991. In 2022, JADAM's membership exceeded 80,000.

Yes. Jadam “natural pesticides” are heading the right direction. But the goal is to not use any pesticide. No spraying at all. Whether it can be detected or not. I have found that in my context I just need to use JMS.

Thank you for your excellent content of contribution to Organic Farming. Q1: On average what is the time interval, say for example for peppers, between the final harvesting and planting of the new crop. Q2: And when is the additional fertiliser applied?

The control interval is adjusted according to the situation based on 7 days. There are no special criteria for additional fertilizers. Depending on the growth of the crop, it may not be used.

There is another argument that the higher the brix, the more protected against pests. I wonder what you think about Compost Tea?

ven if the fruit has a high sugar content, it is not protected from pests. I don't think Compost Teaf needs to be air blown into. A lot of nutrients are lost.

Controlling slugs is very difficult, but I have developed a breakthrough control technique. Combination of JWA + Sodium Hydroxide. It is JWA 400ml and Sodium Hydroxide 60g per 20L. Sodium hydroxide is added pre-dissolved in a little water. The water used must be soft water. Please refer to lesson 18.

I am reading the second edition book, I am a small farmer (home gardener) the quantities referred to in the book seem to be catering for larger scale farming: acres. How do I scale these measurements so I make just enough for my level of farming? I do need to make 500 L (132 g) if pesticide after all I only farm in the summer

Thrips are very difficult to control. You need ginkgo fruit or oleander. ginkgo fruit is very effective.
