Her bars were better than a 9.9. this whole meet pissed me off. Seeing deductions taken from OSU but not seeing the same exact deductions taken from Auburn is ridiculous. This is why people hate SEC meets.

@Jess-oc5cj if the scoring were consistent between athletes I would agree. They just take deductions from one athlete but not another with the same (or worse) issues.

It's odd seeing her do a 1.5 on vault, knowing that she is the 3rd best female vaulter on the planet right now. I wish NCAA rewarded difficulty more than what it does.

I think she should change her vault honestly. She seems to not be able to land this one. I'm sure she won't because she loves a challenge but I think she probably needs to do a double.

@@omglauraelizabeth i don't think she really has ever stuck the double, either in elite or NCAA which is why she only has two vault 10s. I think she's had some nice sticks on the Amanar in elite which is maybe why she thought a Y1.5 would be more stickable

The United States didn’t allow “paid” or “professional” athletes to compete in the Olympics until the 1990s. The noted “Dream Team” of 1992 finally leveled the playing field in Olympic basketball. Should these athletes be barred from competing in sports they love just because they are continuing their education and pursuing degrees?

They also don’t have their training and expenses paid for, which is another reason the committee allowed them “amateurs” to collect endorsements and prize money.

She's no more "pro" than any other NIL athletes. Livvy Dunne makes way more money as a college athlete than Jade. Your issue is that she's one of the best gumnasts in the world? There's been lots of overlap between Olympic and NCAA athletes for ages, and not just in gymnastics.
