I hear you… I’m so sorry you don’t like it. There’s closed captions so you can mute it. The only negative comments I get are on music. I’ve tried them all. I have no personal preference. I’ve been doing piano type music on my latest. I was always scared of putting people to sleep 😂😂😂. I know I can’t please everyone but I’m trying. I do hear you and I’m making changes 😉 Let me know what you think about my last few videos. I’ve tried to calm it down a bit.

@@JaDeLRocks The type of music doesn't matter much, it's too loud. It should be background music and not loud. As far as using closed caption, if I do that and am reading I don't see what you're doing. Anyway, thank you for your tutorials.

I take a cheap paint brush and stir the material around in the mold trying to touch all surfaces to break the tension. I still get bubbles but they end up on the underside and top is completely smooth. I use 1 water, 2 material but I'm still tweaking and playing around with my mix ratios 😊

I stopped in to watch hoping to find out how long you wait before painting your quikrete quick-setting cement. I have a bit of a rush project and I am seeking accurate information which google is no help with at all! PS PLEASE consider the volume of the music. It’s extremely loud and as an autistic adult I absolutely can’t handle the sensory overload.

I use multiple different combinations of quikrete and I don’t waste money on pigment. I add acrylic paint to the water before adding it to my mix. It takes a lot for some colors and will change the consistency so you have to experiment for sure but I have great results.

Good morning! Hope you had a wonderful time at your show. About this vid, if you have bubble voids, pink sparkle is great. It goes on pink and dries white so you know when it’s dry. If it gets stiff or partly dries in container, get a a little water and stir.

That sounds like the perfect fix. I don’t get this many holes with Ultracal and Cementall. They both dry faster too. But even with those I get a few bubbles. Some people use vibrations to rid the bubbles. One lady used a paintbrush to just stick in there and move them. I’d like to find what works best for me. I like the vivration idea but can afford new gadgets just yet but it’s on my list. I’ll use your tip to fix these. The candle didn’t make it. I tossed that one, lol.

I know The Happy Dotting company recommends using Ultracal30 but I can’t get that where I live & it would cost to much to have it posted so I use a mix of Plaster of Paris & Quick Set Concrete powder. I mix 900gr POP to 100 grs of QSC to make 1kg of dry mix. I mix both powders together well. I only use what I need but unfortunately I can’t remember how much water I use. I’ve always had good results. If I tap the moulds for a few minutes after pouring I don’t tend to get holes from bubbles.

I use Rapid Set Cement All.. not the same as Quikrete ..and it works very good. No bubbles if you pour nice and slow and tap the mold .. sets in about 5 hours then I let sit overnite once taken out from mold. I dont measure, just add them together till it feels right. I use my hands to make sure there are no lumps and it is mixed well.

I'm another Cement-All gal. I start with a 4-1 ratio but adjust based on humidity. My mixture is pour-able like a waffle batter. The slightly thinner mix will let the air bubble get tapped out easier but take a little longer to dry. Cement is less forgiving than plaster if you over-pour your molds, make sure you neaten them up before it sets. Filing concrete down is not easy. :-) I also recommend silicone bowls and spatulas for easier cleaning.

I use Cement All too .... I live in a condo so keeping mess low scale is a priority.... plus I have no real place to dump cement water. I saw a video using large zip-lock bags to mix the cement in.... then snip off an end and pipe it into the molds like runny icing. Yes, not as eco friendly, as you would be throwing away the plastic bags. Haven't tried this bag, mix, and pipe method yet.... but looking forward to it.

Thanks for sharing! Did you see my cement all video. I’m still pretty impressed with that one. I have a question for you though. The tiny pores in the cement all? When I paint them black i can’t get the paint down in there. I’ve tried blending brushes even. I even tried finger painting it to squish it in, lol. It’s so weird. With ultra cal it absorbs it in. Any tips?

@@JaDeLRocksHi JaDel.... yes, I did see your Cement All video! I think that was when I started looking at Cement All all as an alternative for Ultra Cal due to the cost. I am extremely new to making and painting rocks. I think I used a little more water than was called for when making the rocks. I didn't notice that much of a porous surface with my Cement All rocks. I was lucky that I didn't have any bubbles. I used Deco Art American black for a first coat and the Liquitex Gesso black for a second coat. I really don't have the experience to help you or make a suggestion. So sorry!❤️. I will watch my future batches for any pores, and keep you in mind.

I love cement all. Dollar tree mixing bowl with a pour spout. If I scrap the bowl well with a spatula I can wipe both clean with a damp paper towel. Then I don’t have to dump anything in the yard since I live in northern Illinois and it’s often too cold or snowy. I do not often have bubbles but a bit of wall spackle works great for that. I hate the ridge on the bottom. I finally bought a cheap belt sander and it take it right down. Also your fingernails!

I have found rising your moulds first in lightly soapy water will eliminate the pin hole bubbles you see. Secondly I would never use that product as it is really grainy and hard on the moulds. It’s not a really strong product as well (breaks easy )It also leaves large holes often. My recommendation is - Hydrostone . This is a super fine gypsum, super smooth and soft surface and way stronger than Ultracal 30. It also sets in 30-45 min! I take them out right away and can smooth any rough edges with my sanding block. You also have enough working time to fill moulds with no stress. 32 grams water, 100 gram powder is my rough measurement . I make large batches so just in crease to the desired amount. Glad to see you cleaning outside as we should never do that in sinks…so many people do and end up with plumbing expenses .

I wrote all this down. Hydrostone is now in my list. I took this bucket out to the workshop. I can see many uses for it around the 2 houses here but I didn’t care for it in as a stone. But I have a broken birdbath with its name on it!! The first batch was the best on this.. the 2nd batch was rinsed with soapy water. I think the batch was just too large to get it all done in time. The dry time on this stuff after adding more water was u reasonable for my simple amount of patience. I have lots of folks who use this and love it. I had to give it a try. In a pinch it would totally work. Thank you ♥️ you take so much time to teach and explain. I really do appreciate it. I cling to every word. Happy Sunday 🤗🤗🤗
