Notice how Viper didn't need to play a single draw card the entire duel, he played 1-2 card a turn max and that kept him ahead the entire duel. That's how you know HERO decks in anime were so resource hungry :D

Cut Jaden a break. He didn't have real life buffs with shadow mist or air man (Stratos in manga) to get other cards. Contact fusion with neos the hard way was terrible too 😂. Yami yugi and Joey played a lot of terribly convenient combos nobody should try in real life. Though 4:54 bubbleman was toned down to be only a special summon in real life (need empty hand for drawing) and was impossible to do in rush duel. 7:19 extenze spell card oh God 😂 14:38 avian lol I saw that card twice for no reason; I think they meant necro Gardna with card trooper and Sparkman with fusion recovery.

@jeremysnowden1286 contact fusion was resource heavy and the anime is full of people using impractical stuff (why would kaiba use ring of defense or saggi if it only works with ring of destruction/crush card, though peten was a good retrain to be tribute fodder, deck thinner and stalling), though yugioh gx is generally accurate to the tcg outside of the sabatiel philosopher's stone, power wall and ma'at (manga) nerfs.

Throughout this entire duel, I could not believe that Jaden didn't draw a single field spell to get rid of Venom Swamp. I don't know if he still runs Fusion Gate or Hero City in season 3, but come on! He's got at least two others, and that swamp gave him more trouble than any other card this duel.

He does, and I think he has a "skyscraper 2" field spell too lol But I think he uses them less often to his ability to contact fuse, and with some of the insane abilities his Neos fusions have, he doesn't always need the extra 1000 ATK that skyscraper offers.

@@iRazenrak Yeah, "Skyscraper 2 - Hero City." But his field spells' effects aren't really the point. At this point in the game's/anime's history, only one field spell can be in play at a time, and if a new field spell is activated, the previous one is destroyed. Jaden's field spells outnumber Viper's 4-1, or at least 4-3. Surely he could draw just one of them to out the Venom Swamp that's been killing him this entire duel?

I really like this duel. Jaden dueling against a snake in the grass is really entertaining. Viper's deck was pretty impressive. Relying on the potency of venom to destroy Jaden's cards one by one. One of my favorite Season 3 duels.

There is a mistake in 9:18 It looks like Venom Snake was sent to the GY to activate Venom Shot, but in reality it was Venom Serpent, as Viper mentioned in 9:37 By that point, all 3 of Venom Snakes were either in the GY or banished: 1st was destroyed by Plasma Vice, 2nd was discarded for the activation of Snake Deity Command, and 3rd was destroyed in Viper's hand by Marine Neos. And since a player can only have a 3 copies of the same named cards in their Decks/Extra Deck, it would be impossible for Viper to mill another Venom Snake.

Lol, once in the previous season. But yeah, the dub is full of animation errors of cards that shouldn't be in certain characters' decks. The sub doesn't have those errors, but for some reason the dub redrew the cards so that they wouldn't include names or effect/flavor text. Why it was so hard for them to simply blow up the card artwork that was literally right in front of them is entirely beyond me.

if you're referring to EHero Marine Neos, it's one of the only contact fused hero monsters who doesn't have to return to the extra deck at the end phase. Likely because you need to perform even more steps than usual to get it out.
