Alonso de Hojeda I think there are actually two solos run together by Downing & Tipton, no? The double rhythm guitars are what gave Judas Priest that "depth" in all their songs.
@Grapesunshine19 жыл бұрын
Old-Man Parker If you watch the live version of this song, you can see that Tipton did all the leads.

Yep that was all Glenn. KK is great too. But Glenn did that. I'd know his sound anywhere. My favourite guitarist in the world....BUT....he never surpassed this bit of lead.... Absolute genius.

a piano in Judas Priest? oooooh how I love it
@karenpato17 жыл бұрын
Glenn Tipton. He didn't pick up a guitar "seriously" (as he puts it) until he was around 21 years old (1968-69) but he had a piano background that dated probably back all the way to birth. His mother taught piano. His big brother played guitar and would "fuck around" with it until he saw Taste in concert (Rory Gallagher).

Trust me, you’ll hear Priest songs with keys/piano in almost every album.

Dreamer Deceiver has always been my favorite Priest song. It used to be my favorite song altogether, back when I had a favorite song. Maybe still is, but I don't really think about favorite songs much any more.

Glenn's guitar solo is amazing. What a guitarist. Sooo overlooked, at least in the states. The solo is a precursor to BTROD.
