So much of my life I always wondered where my family is from yet so much had been kept a huge secret from us kids. My own dad while at even work one day while trying to cross the Canadian boarder coming back he was stopped on their side. And he was told that his social security number didn't match his identity! My dad was like um that's who I am???! They said no your last name is different from your social security number! My dad didn't even know that his dad whom raised him wasn't his blood father! He had no idea! Were thinking my grandfather (full Italian) was our blood! There was some crazy things done to his birth certificate back in the day! So basically we don't know where we come from. I'm over here thinking I'm Italian native yet I'm whiter than mister skeleton! 🤣 I even sun burn after 8 pm girl its crazy! Really neat when I see others get to see who they really are its exciting. Just wish we knew who we were. Especially our whole lives here I am 40 my dad 65 and neither one of us know any of it! That's crazy. I mean my dad loves his dad whom raised him but still you know. And I can understand.. ❤

Completely agree with you, Jade! I’ve always been a huge fan of Michael’s “in your face” Halloween collection because I am a vintage Halloween fan and *for me* neon colours and pastels just don’t do it. I totally understand that some people dig it, and that’s cool, but I’m way too old fashioned I guess. I just love a vintage vibe with a slightly creepy edge.

I would love to know my heritage. It's always fun when you have a mix of stories and possible different heritages and no one really knows the origins of close relatives. My grandmother was raised by her grandmother and didn't know exactly where she came from, so would love to know more about her side of the family.

I’ve wanted to do a DNA kit for a long while. My mom passed away when I was young and all we know is that her grandparents came over from Hungary/Austria/Czech Republic (territories changed often back then). My dads side is also a mystery due to violence while coming over on the Oregon Trail. Northern Kansas Pawnee got in our line at that point but we don’t know much about it all. I find genealogy absolutely fascinating. It’s important to document our stories and histories; DNA technology helps people do that when their histories are mysteries. (Hehe I rhymed!)
