The days between are absolutely a weird time - other than planning for 2025, I really have no idea how I spent the time 😂

I don't understand why you think this is an awkward time of the year. For me, everything is normal minus the extra trips to my brother's house but that's just this year. One thing I do hate, though, is the fact that goodreads seems to stop counting our reads somewhere before Christmas and that leaves room for so many more books even before Christmas that I wish they would change things to stop later in the year. I guess I understand because they might not be around after that time but if it's done automatically we should see the whole list of books we read during the year at the very last day of the year. Am I wrong? The time between Christmas and New Year's Eve/Day is sort of a time for people to return gifts but smart people avoid that time anyway. I think that staying home during this time and working maybe on your library organization or things like that is what you should be doing if you're off work at this time and if you're not, then at least work on it while you're at home. People visit friends and family at this time as well. I don't see anything awkward about this time of year. LOL You can also spend the week between Christmas and New Year's listening to Christmas music but I don't know how much you enjoy that kind of music. Is it just me who has things to do during this time? LOL And my life is a boring mess on most days so it should tell you a lot. You can spend your days watching a million movies if you like doing that. Maybe you should plan out next year's "awkward time between Christmas and new year" so that we can have nice content from you. Every day post what you're up to, what you've planned for that time. Maybe I'm the only one who wants something like this? I guess this way it will no longer feel so awkward for you. Also, a calendar would be essential if you're forgetting what day it is. LMFAO So, this is your challenge for the next Christmas-to-new-year time. Find a way to celebrate the end of one year and start of the new one. I just spent it going to my brother's house on most days, but I would like you to do something that can give us ideas on what we can do ourselves. I'm sure there are others who feel the same way you do. It would be interesting to see what stuff you come up with at the end of this year!!

Even though goodreads publishes your yearly summary early, it does update itself if you read anymore before the 31st, so at the end it does fully encompass your reading year.
