Love the channel Arty! CNSL was a little anticlimactic but wow what a series! I had an idea for a series that I would REALLY love to have you make. As a novice StarCraft player I am unfamiliar with most openings and their specifics. It would be awesome if you had a series where you explain the different openings, what’s going on with the current meta, you could even do openings categorized by StarCraft era and what made them so good at the time. This would help my game immensely. I’m sure your fans would love to watch and learn

At 5:28 we see Light flexing his skill and knowledge. A single zergling actually does as much dps to a marine as a sunken does. Notice his marines are attacking the sunken and as the 2 lings come in for the flank, he stops attacking the sunken and quickly targets each of the zerglings before then returning to the sunken. Low key a great play.

hmmm. I think there's some algorithm black magik going on lol. I queued up some Rogue Tournaments (GSL2021-ST3) to remember his top form, and queued up the WCS 2013 SoS vs JD Grand Finals since it came up in related and needed to see another top zerg of by gone era. And then I get THIS JD game on my home screen, lol. The algorithm is scary RT. Love that Light is experimenting with blending mech transition vs zerg, the way he's been experimenting with bio opens vs protoss. Similar to SoS pushing the boundary of opening builds during his heyday late Wol thru early LotV. Thanks for talking about sunks, you hit it on the nail. Also really nice observation about slowing corrections to meta shifts. but playing Devil's Advocate, one reason for underrep of that particular BO win is that, these are ladder games, it's a coinflip. And although YOU get 4 pooled more frequently than you should, I also suspect the top zerg leave those wild backyard ling all-ins for tournaments or practice for a partner who's working on defense. Future Bonjwa* Kim Min Chul basically said in his interview after ASL S17 Mini reverse sweep, that he was basically freestyling w/ ling builds, not practiced optimizations. Now, Lurker busts or experimenting with early, "cheesy" lurker play in general, using them with effect when the most effective ways are now predictable, seems like something worth exploring on ladder. Understand and test limits and uncover alternate, effective ways to push with or without dark swarm, work out sharpest timings for Lurker Power Curve in relation to flawed terran detection options, there's room for creativity, (don't always put it on Shine or Zelot!): 1) Ebay ->Turrets: Sight 11, detect 7, Lurker range 6. Cannot attack ground, (wildly variable efficacy as AA). 2) Acad-> 1 scan per ~69sec, duration varies ~7-11sec, can target ergo can miss, delays up to 2 SCV production per addon. 3) Facility -> T3.5 Tech (facility requires port), Vessels cost 225 gas competes with tanks, shares port build time w/ valks Just felt like JD was overly conservative with breaking into Nat. I think the dark swarm bridge could have cheated a little more to get into nat faster. Also repositioned earlier before cloud wore off. I'd love to see them develop lurker burrowing as a skill the way Tank sieging is an art to Terran. Unlike SC2, lurkers don't have 9 range and can also burrow/unborrow so fast, they leave afterimages in the ground. God, Rogue was really abusive using lurkers like a sledge hammer in that 2021 ST3 Finals vs Maru.
