Jae is the Man!! He's helped me really learn to not only a plethora of knowledge about all the ins and outs of the MPC software and hardware tricks, but also how to lose the fear of exploration and experimentation in music making. It's really helped me to learn my own tricks as well as think outside of the box to find new ways of producing unique sounds, groovy rhythms, and amazing melodies. I love this kat, he's the real deal man! Very talented and intelligent, gotta love the fact that he gives it out so freely, lighting all our candles with his flame one at a time and never asking for anything in return!

Great video. I've never thought to turn off loop to add bars!!! It's obvious but I just got into the routine of loop then duplicate. There's always an unexpected tip in your tutorials

Bro, you are the GOAT!! I've learned so much from your videos!!! I'm one of the few lucky ones who got the Key 37 the very second day after launch and have been struggling to look for tutorials, as it is my very first MPC product ever, and here I am looking for tutorials on the Key 37 all while the tutorials on the MPC One, One+ and yours were the ones I should've been looking for. You've pretty much dropped gems on everything I've been wanting to learn. I can't thank you enough!

I use the mpc software on Elastique Pro mode for Audio Warp and BPM detection. I can go from 100bpm to 70bpm with no artifacts. I sample at 48k.

Everytime I try to time stretch my samples to match eachother, the tempo is always dramatically lower numerically than the real tempo of the samples. For example, ill record a sample at 80 bpm then when I go to time stretch the bpm value is at a 30 or 40bpm , way off. Then when I put new bpm to 80 it will sound either faster or slower than the 80bpm I'm trying to achieve. Is there something I need to change in settings ?

Hello bro ! I know this is not related to this video but I was watching it and I believe you may can help me: I recently bought a dbx 166xl compressor and I want to compress the stereo signal from the Mpc with a kick sidechain and I’m getting crazy with this thing because I don’t know how to setup . Mpc has the 8 outputs, kick is in the output 1 and the rest of signal in the stereo main … I’m trying different ways to configuration but I’m not lucky enough and I’m getting crazy. Please can someone help me?

Warp sounds 3x better in controller mode Also when you bounce to audio or use audio tracks instead of midi there is a box at the top of the audio track screen to type in the bpm of the track. It then keeps locked to the tempo too Just some more ways around Good video Jae

Id rather warp than time stretch. The degrade gives the sample character.

u pitched up then warped it down...pitching up adds speeed so it got a lil muddy
