@@ShahLusso Hi Shah, thank you very much for replying my comment. I was lucky to purchase the less popular Reverso Squadra from JLC with a steel bracelet and an alternative leather-strap, which can be quickly changed. Loving the Cartier Tank, but not liking Roman dials and not understanding that Cartier Tank has a quartz movement , it was obvious, that l went for JLC. Now l do tend to go back to smaller sized watches and I absolutely love the refined case and the spectacular dial with a guillochet inner square. I love the more rectangular shape, which makes the the watch a little bit less formal than the classic Reverso. When you turn it you can see the movement, which is stunningly amazing. I’m truly happy that JCL is a brand for true watch lovers and has never been hyped as momentarily happens with many other watch brands. But that’s perfectly ok... I just know that there are so many fantastic watch brands which never get the attention, they truly deserve. Living in Switzerland and knowing what true treasures are built in this country makes me happy and a big thank you to you and all the people who keep up with spreading the joy of beautiful timekeepers! Yeah, at a glance you might think at the 6'oclock like most Reversos, but on this that's just the pointer for the date

Quality production and content as always brother, I thought about a Reverso once but in two minds about it considering my wrist size. This open back one tho definitely special!

Two minds about it huh, see what you did there hehe. Do you think the Reversos look too big or too small for your wrist? They do have a few midsize ones, it's always a bit weird the transition from round to square/rectangle watches, lug to lug comes a lot more into play & in my case I have to size down relative to my initial instinct like with the Santos where the mid-size actually fits me much better. With this one if i had tightened the strap i could probably juuust pull it off but might even be better off with one of the mid size ones.

Shah Lusso Thought it would be too small, but your right it’s a different case shape! Not that I am tired of the cliche round watch, but squaring the circle is something I think I’ll get use to quickly :). I’m convinced brother, a Reverso might just be the next pick. :)

Nice video. I went with the classic Large Duoface Reverso with small seconds. However, I would love the same with date function.

The large duo face is beautiful, I’m pretty set on my next watch being a Reverso I just don’t know which one, I’m toying between this one, the blue tribute duo face or the red tribute small seconds...I like them all for different reasons but can’t decide which I like most! Good thing is I’ve still got at least another 6-8months of saving before I can afford it so I’ve got time to decide (or discover other Reversos along the way hehe) How long have you had yours for?

I've had mine for 2 years. It is a beautifully smart and highly functional piece that got more wear for business travel pre-Covid. Perhaps your timing for purchase will be aligned with a special new release for the 90th anniversary of the Reverso Tribute.

That's a pretty crazy watch at that price! I must say however I do disagree on the running seconds, as I think it would have cluttered up the dial a little too much. Great shots and great review though! - Han

I guess we wouldn't know till we see it, but even though filming this was a breeze because its mostly just static pictures some more life on the dial would have been welcome IMO but in the end its all down to preference and defnitely not a deal-breaker on such a great value watch. Si, realmente son una marca de muy buen valor y que hacen calibres y relojes bien bien avanzados y hasta que en ciertas epcoas hicieron calibres por Patek, Vacheron y Audemars asi que eso nos dice todo lo q hay q saber acerca de su calidad. El local que viste en la introduccion fue en Dubai - de hecho toda la introduccion fue en Dubai. Lo pongo en todos mis videos de mi viaje a los Emiratos, idealmente con cada viaje haria una introduccion especifica por esa ubicacion asi para destacar un poco mas de la ciudad/pais. Saludos :)

I love this watch. It's gorgeous. My only doubt is if it would look too big on my 6.5 inch wrist. My other alternative is the dual face small seconds of medium. What do you think?

I know what you mean, my wrist is 6.7 inches (17cm) so only a little bigger than yours and I felt i was juuuust on the edge of it being a bit too big. Ideally if you can try on both it'll give you a clearer idea, without seeing either on your wrist though and considering how I felt this one was even pushing the size on my wrist, then maybe go for the medium if you want that perfect fit. It's tough just because rectangular watches wear so differently to round ones, so always best to try it on first before buying. Hope that helps :)

Nice review. I own this myself. It is indeed a nice watch. The drawbacks are, it is hardly a day to day watch in my opinion and the manual winding from the crown is not comfortable.

Great review! I’ve been so drawn to this watch for years. I just went to the JLC boutique yesterday and tried on several new Reversos and found they were so much smaller in person than I imagined. Even the Large Reverso Classic seconds felt so delicate. I know you mentioned in some other comments a while back you’re considering picking up a Reverso, did you end up choosing one yet?

Glad you liked the review :) so I’ve narrowed down my choice to a yellow gold Reverso Duoface 270.1.54 - since it’ll be my dress watch I figured why not go for the traditional “gold dress watch on a leather strap” setup, and also I don’t have any precious metal in my collection, so the choice is made - now just need the means to get it 🤣

i dont understand why you wouldnt wind the watch so that people can see the movement of the watch when it has a little bit of power reserve.

Been a while since I shot this video, but off the top of my head it was probably because the dial had no running seconds and it slipped my mind to wind it just to show the escapement in action 🤷🏻‍♂️

Are there other reversos like this -- one side dial other side visible movement? (excluding tourbillons)

Most of them are in the high complications like the tourbillons & minute repeaters, but also there are a few more down to earth models with open casebacks: - Reverso Squadra Hometime (Ref: 230.8.77) - Reverso Grande Date (Ref: 240.8.15) - Grande Reverso 976 (Ref: 273.8.04) Hope those help :)

The argument of no seconds on this watch is vacant You have the whole movement on the go to see if your watch is alive or not, you rolex fanboy

🤣🤣🤣 not sure how pointing out the lack of running seconds makes me a Rolex fanboy but if you listen for just a few more seconds you'll hear that I *do* point out you can still see the watch is alive by looking at the movement, and also I still conclude that despite that and the other two negatives pointed out, overall this is still an amazing watch (because it is). If having no running seconds isn't a dealbreaker for you, then I'd encourage you to buy one and enjoy it :)
