Very insightful discussion as always, the way Mahwish explained about Speech disorders among neurodivergent individuals, and Sadaf's empathy for the parents of those who choose to convert just made this episode for me. Oh and also CONGRATULATIONS on not mentioning the mega hit show that shall not be mentioned...was wondering which one of you will slip up - well done, you two 😂

Ok, so I agree that SMD isn't worth a minute of anyone's time, but we really enjoy listening to critics shredding it. So please consider including it in your show. Thanks Btw, I disagree with you about the child's trauma reaction. I'm a teacher, and we had a 14 years old student once who had undergone huge trauma and had become selectively mute. Its psychological and they need therapy to get better . I think it would have been better if the child didn't speak at all rather than few words because that doesn't come across as real.
@MahwashAjaz6 күн бұрын
Selective mutism is different, that’s not what Mohid has.
@AtiaIbnat-c4q5 күн бұрын
@@MahwashAjaz we watched this type of mutism in a indian movie also. " Baajrangi Bhaijan". There "Munni" had this type of problem ❤.

Ok , its such a temptation to rip & shred & if the writing crosses ethical or moral boundaries ..I would rip into it but for the most part we try to avoid that kind of thing because we respect the art . However sometimes its a little irresistible lol

It might sound strange to hear, but in the area where we live, if there was a girl like Aimen and all these situations were happening, sorry to say, but people from our area wouldn't allow her to live in our area😅 22:55

Wondering why you guys did not mention that in Qarz e Jaan, how is Nashwa and her friend (who happens to come to Nashwa's cousin's haldi) are so normal around Ammar (he is a criminal!!?), If it had been someone sensible, the girl would have either moved out of Ammar's sight or found an opportunity to leave the place he was in. It's a bit unsettling, isn't it?

Oh God I tweeted abt it but forgot to talk abt it in the review. Definitely will discuss next time.

@@MahwashAjaz Also I think, Usama's demeanor is not that of a powerful and successful lawyer, he seems a bit softer for a successful barrister. He is a good actor, but he is not suiting the part. Ahmed Ali Akbar would have been more convincing.

MSM: I agree with you both that Dananeer looks like a child. Ahad looks like her older brother and I don’t see a romantic chemistry between them. I recently watched Dhoop Kinare where the age difference was a lot higher but it didn’t feel odd because of the way the story was told. Same with Kabli Pulao. Ahad appears to be a protective older brother. He would have had better pairing with the older sister.

Same!! I haven't watched the show I saw the edits and the way he keeps looking at her without any reason is just so exhausting!!

People need to understand that the difference between personal criticism and critism about someone's work. Dananeer's acting has higher potential thats why we are critizising her. Getting feedback is the only way to improve.

This is the only thing that bothers me in QeJ that's Nashwa's behavior with Ammar. She treats him like his younger spoilt brother. If i would have such a red flag cousin with such a criminal history I would be disgusted with his presence.

Sadly, educated people aren’t always intelligent or smart or kind. I had someone who called me autistic (in a negative sense and as a way of cursing me) because they had a riff with me. I’m not neurodiverse but I got angry at the fact that autism was being used as a curse/swear word. I have friends with autistic children and despite their struggles, they are some of the kindest people I know. How hurt would they be if they heard that someone was using autism as a gaali. Those who think of neurodivergence as a mental disorder or someone to be cursed is showing an ableist attitude. Why do people get on a high with showing such a lack of empathy?
