1) The bakery in Narrabri has pretty good steak and kidney pies. 2) I have climbed the Knife Blade in the Warrumbungles. Also, from the top of Mt Kaputar you can see 1/3 of NSW. Amazing. 3) The spider web was made by a female Golden Orb. 4) I have a NSW parks pass and I need a holiday. Just need money. 5) The mouse plague was shocking. And because of the influx of mice over a long period the foxes started breeding up too. Neither good for the environment.

Thanks for the tips. Jill and I are going back to the Warrumbungles in April and do that high tops walk we missed, again weather permitting. Cheers👍😎

Awesome stuff Terry👍. I popped the bonnet on the cruiser today to give it a service and found a mouse running along the back of the intercooler. 🐀 hopefully he stays outside.

Little buggers they are. Also here’s hoping he does not take a liking to your wiring. I don’t know why they do that, someone should do a scientific study on that🤔. Thanks for watching and commenting mate, I sincerely appreciate it 😎👍

Some really beautiful country down there and quite a memorable trip by the look of it.

Despite the inclement weather, it was stunning. We will definitely be visiting Kaputar and the Warrumbungles again (and it’s only a 5 hour drive from our home so that’s a bonus). Thanks for watching and commenting Steve, I appreciate it 😎👍

Geez Terry I wonder when you were there? I was in the Pilliga camped at the sculptures on Saturday the 13th of March but got rained out on Sunday and went home, we may have been nearly close enough to say hi. I really hope you weren't at the salt caves that night. I was meant to camp there on Sunday. Another great clip mate. Cheers Steve

Mate we were very close. We camped at the sculptures on Tue, so only 3 days after you were there. Amazing coincidence. We will cross paths one day by design, but a random path cross would have blown both our minds. See you eventually Steve, until then I’m enjoying your vids😎👍

Hi Terry, are you kidding?!?! Mice in the cruiser uninvited!!! That’s a good one too! How many Babies were inside? Cheers
@JafffaAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Yep, I had a veritable ecosystem inside the truck for a while. They are all gone now, but it was not fun. I was worried they would get into the wiring. I pulled a few dash panels off when I got home and could not see any damage so I think I’m in the clear. Cheers 😎👍

Last time I did that trip it was really dry. Glad to see it green. Might take a trip down that way soon. Hope you did the big walk at Wa’rum’gle. It’s awesome. Never understood Pilliga. Mores to the point I never understood why someone didn’t just take a match to it. I hate driving thru it. Safe travels.

It really is a beautiful spot. As you will see next episode, we got rained out in the Warrumbungles so the Grand High Tops walk remains on the bucket list. Thanks for watching, Cheers 😎👍

We did not hear the yowie go bump in the night but only because we run fans in the RTT for a bit of white noise. Something I learned camping in the bush in Canada with the bears, if you can’t hear them they are not there!!!

We spent Easter at the Warrumbungles sometime around the mid 80's and there was a mouse plague then as well. Us kids had a ball chasing the mice as everyone moved there tents to pack them away. One ran up my leg under my jeans.

So the mice actually got inside the truck? Not underneath? About how many? Cheers
@JafffaAdventures3 жыл бұрын
They sure did David. They were both under the bonnet and inside the truck (because we left the tailgate open for that hour or so we were filming). Not sure how many but at lease half a dozen inside the cabin and another 2 or 3 under the bonnet. Took a full week of baiting before evidence of them disappeared. Worst I have ever seen them in my 30 odd years of outback travel. I still think they are cute, do I need help😂😂. Thanks for watching mate. Cheers😎👍
@DiHandley3 жыл бұрын
@@JafffaAdventures Utterly amazing that they would actually jump up into the truck. Well I guess you’ll know within a couple of weeks if any died inside! 😷
@JafffaAdventures3 жыл бұрын
That was my dilemma. Do a bait them and be certain they are dead with the risk of the smell, or do I leave the doors open when I get home and hope they just move on but run the risk of them chewing up my wiring. In the end I took the smell risk option (which has not eventuated yet). Maybe they don’t have the body mass to go truly rancid? Whatever the reason, I’ll take it👍👍

What did you think of the new head unit while away?
@JafffaAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Sensational mate, never missed a beat. I downloaded the Ozexplorer app and offline map pack and it craps all over Hema. Used the unit to stream Spotify while on the road as well. Apart from losing my outside air temp, I really cannot fault it. Cheers😎👍
