The whole point of changing into a woman to defeat Sir Leye during Recruitment Drive was to be a nod to Éowen defeating the Witch-King Angmar in "Return of the King". I disagree with the Recruitment Drive change. It was a fun little puzzle, that didn't say anything good or bad about men or women; you just had to interpret a sentence literally, then make a stop at the makeover mage once you realized there's a way to change your sex in-game. And I liked the Ali names in Polli, since they had to figure out how to make a woman named Ali (it's short for Alice) and other fun stuff like that. The other stuff: no comment. alright the pride event was fine and all cause it was completely optional, limited, no major impact or game changes or anything jsut essentially another holiday event, but this is becoming significantly more political now because of it, ever since i completed recruitment drive like 3 years ago i havent changed my gender back even tho it is right there. all these other changes as well were put there for niche parts of questing and dialog that was meant to be fun and engaging. if anyone is genuinely and truly hurt that they have to become a girl for recruitment drive, or marry a women for a quest that you never have to speak to again then they might as well start making romeo and juliet have an option to reverse the two or have them both leave eachother, better make a female culinaromancer and call it the culinarwitch and give the player the option to fight either one. these changes really are unnecessary and imo take away from one of the main aspects people play oldschool, for nostalgia.

On the newsletter it basically said if you don’t want to take part in pride don’t log in while the event is on. I won’t be logging back on at all. In light of this post, I've always wanted to be able to equip prince legs on a female character. When you have prince legs and try to equip them, after changing to female, it auto-changes the item to princess skirt. I think the fashionscape would be perfect for my 44 frog mask woman.
