Knowing whats been happening to that engine prior to it being sold by the RAF, I'd be standing a lot, lot further back from it than you guys are!!! That said, credit for getting it running.

That 'Rumble' as the Adour starts up would come through your feet when doing see-offs!! - Also used to ground run Jags during my time 1974-1979 (RAF) and 1982-1985 (Oman). I was a 'Sooty'. My 'Forte' was N1/N2 Tank changes - must of done 'hundreds' during my time. Couldn't get in there now!!

Looks Like a very dodgy set up, you need to mount this engine by the main thrust mount, not the lugs on the side of the Intermediate case, they are meant for transportation only.

It's a Microturbo Saphir, one of a handful of engines designed solely as air producers. It produces fifty air horsepower.
