Really enjoying this series, I remember the Steed car from my youth and I'm looking forward to the next update

Thanks! A bit slow at the moment on the XJC side, but it’s coming!

The look on Your face says it all, what an amazing car.👌

Thanks! Yes it blew me away. I’ve had really fast cars in my time, but the way that Jag goes is fantastic

It might have been 3 years of work and all that money And look at all the smiles per mile you now get Sure the v12 might have sounded a bit better but nothing beats 6.3 litres of small block Chevrolet power Robin has done a great job , I would pay for a ride 👍👍🇦🇺

@@sportscarstory I truly appreciate your videos. I am now familiar with The Avengers. I purchased DVD set when it was Emma Peel. So Steed is driving a Bently.

Great car guys. I see it is on Continentals. I’m looking for a similar size for a period race car. The wheels are 16-inch diameter, 12-inches in width & with tyre diameter of 21-13 inches. What size are yours?
@sportscarstory4 ай бұрын
I’m trying to get wheels made for my Steed replica, which was on 16” wheels, but there’s not a lot of choice. I think I’m going to have to go the same size as Robins car. If you see the Steed build part 4, it says the tyres size he has in that. Thanks for watching!

If you are still trying to make the right choice when it comes to wheels & tyres, are you familiar with the “High Performance Academy’s” Online Wheel & Tyre Fitment Course? They claim that their course will save you time and money, ie don’t buy a set of wheels that won’t fit your car or result in serious performance compromises. They cover Fitment, PCD, Offset, Centre bore, Scrub radius, how to properly check for clearance and select the correct size wheels & tyres. I have no affiliation with HPA .. For information only. Cheers.

No I’m not. I’ll check them out. Thanks for the tip - & thanks for watching.

I saw it coming! Yet another fine car ruined by putting a Chevrolet (not Chrysler) LS engine in it. Surely a supercharged Jaguar V8 would have been a better choice as a least it's from the same manufacturer.
@sportscarstory4 ай бұрын
Fair comment. But if your on a budget the LS makes the power and the noise. Thanks for watching.
@angry99013 ай бұрын
How is it ruined, looks the part and has a reliable powerful motor installed. Better than your XJC… oh that’s right.
@christinalloyd95663 ай бұрын
Yep. It really had to have a jag v12 in it even if it was almost a standard spec with exhausts.

Steve, where is your build, or just a key board boy?
@markscully23423 ай бұрын
yeah but there must be millions of jag engines in scrap yards!!!

True. But you might have to try a few before you find one that works … Thanks for watching!

I'm sure its a Ripper of a car but.. Replica Broadspeed my arse.. just another Jag with a SBC (Same old Boring Crap) swap with 'stolen' Jaguar & Broadspeed Heritage
@sportscarstory6 күн бұрын
Looks and sounds great though. But yes I appreciate it will upset the purists.
@coupster54646 күн бұрын
Yes @sportscarstory I'm sure it will look and sound great.. I love the sound of my GM V8 too.. and its your car and most importantly, an XJC saved.. I just have a giggle when the term 'purist' about ( same folk that asked me what Chev V8 I'd put in my XJC .. they simply hadn't heard a manual, hotted up multi TB V12 before, 6.4L), a giggle as these same folk are quick to use Jaguars styling, history and other engineering aspects, the IRS/IFS etc ... Looking forward to seeing some tarmac videos of your build.
