Brilliant build to watch, where do you buy the materials for the scratch build parts. The aluminium sheet you are using looks like a nice gauge to work with at that scale, unless you just make it look easy. The hinges you made look far more robust than any standard hinges in a kit (which are usually very flimsy). Love the engine detailing too, the extra fuel lines and leads really finish off this model. I really like Heller kits, I have heard people do not like them but I think they are very cheap for what you get. I am working on a 1/24 Heller Citroen Traction Avante, the detail on the front sub frame and engine on this kit already is quite good, I am sure you would detail it up to the max. I can finish a model off nicely, but nowhere near the level of scratch build up-grading you can achieve. I am inspired to try, think I will pull out a cheapy kit to experiment on. Excellent video.

You should try modelling the even bigger 1/8th scale E-Type model by Monogram, launched in the early 1960s. It still is an impressive model, with detailed engine, suspension, most of the gearbox, rear diff and suspension cradle, opening bonnet, opening doors with windup windows etc. Your skills with the Heller model would really shine re super detailing the Monogram model. Revell took over the Monogram range in later years and continued to make the Jaguar but by then the moulds were becoming a bit tired as I observed when I bought one kit in a junk shop. I was lucky to then purchase the original Monogram kit a few years later second-hand and it is much superior re mouldings and crispness.

Just to give you an idea of its size, the body shell is 530mm in length (or 53cm). Try and find the original kit, this is what the box artwork looks like: www.scalemates.com/kits/monogram-pc98-jaguar-xk-e--266856. Best regards Mark

To A4 Garage: May I make suggestion? You should make a video on the tool you use and the material. Maybe had the location where to get these, it would make fantastic video to watch. I find your building fantastic and now I follow every episode you do... It definitely inspire me, your patience to detail is short of word fantastic. I hope you do read this comment. A other suggestion I may ask is, Meng as a Ford GT 1/12 scale but for the price I am a bit desapointed on the detail of it... I wounder whit your talent and wisdom what you could realize in that scale of 1/12 and the amount of detail you could had to this model. It would be really fantastic to see your accomplishment on this. I really think you have perhaps no competition on the amount of detail you get to show and realize, and I am sure your audience agree with me!!! I hope this reach you and hope to be able to see your future video with impatience. Thanks you. Daniel A french Texan. I cannot explain my anticipation of looking at the material and tool you use if you ever decide to do the video. And I do apologize for my English.
