@@muldix Really!? I have a P300 on order with the factory and have been driving myself crazy thinking I should have gone with the V6 due to the sound + AWD. I would be doing city driving around 90% of the time which is why I went with the P300 ultimately. Appreciate any input you might have! Great channel btw, have watched your F-Type videos multiple times.

@@jetsetter883 how about your feeling now ? I just got a p300 convertible, one thing for sure is it does feels much lighter compare to the v6.
@uncois2 жыл бұрын
@Rob Sharpe it really depends on many aspects, especially the country you live in, price difference, traffic condition,etc. on my side , as we live in china, the price difference between a 4 and 6 cylinders is around 20,000 USD, then we live in shanghai , the p300 is already enough powered. i've never owned a v6 vehicles ever, the reviewers are saying this p300 feels more lighter , however compare to my gt86 toyota it is stil quite heavy.

Really like the idea of a 2litt ter in the car, just wish it had a small hybrid electro supercharger to take car of the low end. And DAMN, it's about time that a company like Jaguar puts a CROSSPLANE crank in a high end 4cylinder inline.

Sadly this doesn’t have a cross plane crank. It does have pumped in Audio to give it that funky sound from inside the cabin

MK Automotive was that in dynamic or normal mode?

Launch control at the end is in dynamic mode. And maximal revs also stays in dynamic.

What the point of getting this car if there is no the pops and crackles from the exhaust? It doesn’t even have a proper boot.

It does have a great boot for such a size and sports car. But no point in having a 2.0 litre engine F-type. Ruins the whole Jaguar brand.

La Finale "5 seconds? A normal sedan does 0-60 faster than that. " I wonder which elitist kind of universe you come from, but where I come from, normal sedans do 0-60 in 8-9 seconds and that's more than fast enough. 5 seconds 0-60 is PLENTY of performance. That's as fast as fastest supercars from 15 years ago. Best part is, you're american, and you can't even use more than 100 hp on most of your roads considering everyone drives slowly like a 90 year old woman. People in Germany drive diesel sedans with 140-150hp, cruising easily above 180-190 km/h, and you feel like 5 seconds 0-60 is too slow for a country where people are afraid to drive faster than 70 mph on 5 lane wide motorways. What's the point of a car which you can floor for only like 3 seconds at a time, otherwise 10 cops will jump out of nowhere? 300hp is actually the perfect amount of power for this car. It's not a supercar. It's supposed to be a light and nimble car with just the right amount of performance that it can put down easily and that makes it playful and fun to drive, and not so stupidly fast you can't use half the power, ever, on any road. It never was a car for straight line speed, although it does that more than well enough. This is a problem with people nowadays, you included, and I know that as a mechanical engineer in the industry because I talk to a lot of people about this topic. People are too clueless nowadays to know what makes a good car. People don't understand SUBJECTIVE qualities anymore, which are hard to achieve in a car and harder to appreciate, and only care about pointless things 0-60 times, which are actually totally irrelevant 99% of the time, and they only judge cars by that. Because of that, people who know nothing about cars (a category most self proclaimed "car guys" nowadays fall into) think that a faster car is automatically a better car, when in reality how fast it is has nothing to do with how good it is. I'd rather drive a base 200hp diesel E class than a tuned Civic that has 500hp, becuase it's a far better car in every way. You say that this Jaguar "ruins the image" of the brand because it's only got 300hp or because there's no pops and crackles? You see... this is what I'm talking about. Your understanding of cars is far too limited to understand how wrong you are and to understand why it doesn't ruin the image of the brand at all. It's a great car, in some ways a better and more balanced package with this 2.0l engine than with the bigger V6 and V8 versions.

There's some issues with how that was measured. I'm certain lka and traction was on when tested. Remove that, put it in sports gear and dynamic mode and it's a hair faster
@daffyhitterКүн бұрын
0-60 times are not important, it’s how the car drives. Unless you are just using it for traffic light races then this lighter more nimble car will be far more rewarding to drive around the twisty stuff than a big heavy V8 👍🏻
