Produced by Special Vehicle Operations at Jaguar Land Rover, the 575bhp Project 7 is a unique collector-edition Jaguar capable of lapping the Nurburgring in 7mins 35secs, making it the fastest Jaguar ever.
Built to celebrate Jaguar's seven wins at Le Mans (hence the name 'Project 7'), the car featured here is car number one out of a limited run of 250 cars. All Jaguar Project 7 were sold before production had even started..

1st of 250?? Lol this isn't a result of a race where 1st, 2nd,3rd etc. would apply, in reality every limited production car is labeled in the same manner, like 1 of 250, 2 of 250 etc. That "1" in 1 of 250 means his car is the first car produced of the 250 unit production run

I’m the one who was admiring it when just about everybody else had left, and when I finally managed to drag my eyes away from the car I saw Harry standing a short distance from the car, waiting for me to finish enjoying it. Amazing video ! Love all these cameras angles ! Clearly some improvements on editing and filming. Sound is slightly better but needs more work in my opinion. Still a great overall video. I've enjoyed it. Congratulations for your new Jag P7. I'm an Aston fan but I completely fall in love with this car. That angry sound is astonishing.... Jaguar really is the hero of the automotive world. Lofty enough to be the stuff of dreams yet not so high as to be untouchable. And they seem to resist compromise better than a lot of automakers. I hope the new sedans give them the financial respite the badge deserves. The main thing that the F type seems to share with the E is that everyone loves it.

Being fully a paid-up shareholder of UK plc, Jag needs to get some of these features filtering down to the 'lowlier' F-Types pretty sharpish....I can get an individual colour on an Audi A3 but nothing on the F-Type....I can get quilted leather in a RS3....but zilch in a F-Type....I can get fibre-backed sports seats in any Porsche.....but not even in a F-Type R AWD. Given the disappointingly shonky dashboard mouldings and plastics in the F-Type (even compared to the new, much cheaper TT) it's high time F-type fanciers can customise their cars....

I love when old heritage car makers produce a new car with some DNA of a historic version i.e. the Ford GT and Mercedes SLS and wish they more manufacturers would do so, if Ferrari made a "Project 7ish" version of the Dino or 255 GTO I think it would be very good for the brand and give consumers some alternatives of not just blinding speed and performance, but of enjoying the quality of the drive like the Alpha 4C. Another great move by Jaguar...now if only we can convince them to produce that C-X75 to show the rest of the world they still have the supercar blood in them

How big a factor did depreciation (or lack of) play when buying this Project7? No doubt the facts of it being 1 of 250, and signed by the engineers, and perhaps a little agreement with JLR - will all mean depreciation will be minimal? Guess it's more a head than heart decision? (i.e. it's convenient and makes financial sense, rather than really wanting to own it for pleasure). Just wondering :))

That lightweight E-Type they flashed at the beginning of the video makes this "Project 7" look like a turd. Ironically the F-Type it's based on looks just fine in stock form. I think JLR spiked Harry's martinis when they goaded him into taking on this pretentious monstrosity.

Hey, I'm enjoying the video, and it has good shots, but I feel like it will benefit from better audio. You should look for a shotgun microphone for your voice, and a mountable directional mic for the exhaust sound. That would drastically change this video. Anyways, awesome car.

Never really like this car. I think it looks cheap, like an F Type with a bit more bodywork (which it is), and I don't think it comes across as particularly special. And on a side note, I really don't enjoy these deliberate exhaust notes. I don't think they sound genuine. I know it's a combination of flaps and carefully designed pipework (a bit like its always been), but we all know from other models that this engine doesn't sound like this normally! I find it all a bit cheap.

Had a '95 Fiat Cinquecento as my first car and its heater was rubbish. In winter the windshield was frozen from the inside by your breath, before it produced warm air. The heater in the Fiat 500 twin air is quite powerful in comparison 😁

Love the Exhaust note, little bit crispier than the F-type R, but nothing much changed. Love the orange lips, the silhouette. But Harry, I think the alloy design is not upto the mark for the P7, its so quiet for a fierce car.

I'm sorry Mr. Metcalfe, I really enjoy your videos and your cars (apart from the 993 gt2 which really isn't a 993 gt2) . But this car is an attention grabbing clown car for schmocks. The helmet and the increased 177% more downforce sums it up perfectly. It's a marketing exercise. I'm sorry, just my subjective opinion. I like the regular car though, seems a bit more authentic to me.

It's a car built to appeal to people who love driving and don't give a fig about CO2. Isn't that something worth celebrating?

I’m fully aware that you were involved in the SVO program and according to the press, the feedback on your channel and from what I was able to see and read, there is no doubt about that all the projects were executed in a very professional manner. Of course, my posting might be seen as a bit provocative, but I didn’t wrote it for the sake of being provocative but because I feel I have a certain brand relationship with Jaguar. I’m also fully aware that brands need endorsers (might be a celebritiy or a specific product like the Project 7). But the personality traits of the endorser need to match the brand. And now we are talking about the core brand personality of Jaguar - which I’m sure you are much more aware of than I am. But from my perspective there is a certain mismatch between the personality traits of the Project 7 and Jaguar. If I think of “Jaguar” as a person, I would think of him/her wearing orange clown shoes and arguing about 177% increase in downforce while wearing a ridiculous helmet. But why is that important to me? Well, I’m a marketing student and I think a lot about “hedonic” brands which might vanish in the near future due to major industry or corporate environmental changes. I’m sure the marketing exercise for this car was to increase awareness of SVO, but increasing awareness doesn’t always increase liking or behavior. I am absolutely with you, let’s celebrate combustion engines and cars before we’ll all being chauffeured around in soulless boxes with wheels!

I just love that bespoke helmet in a matter of spoking. The colours are so understated with that flash of Paul Smith. It really should be worn at all times by "Arry to ascribe to it the complement in design aesthetics that he and the car deserve. God knows it is a piece of trivial 'piss in your pocket' rubbish that will never be used any other way.
