Jaguar Series 1 E-Type - Original 3.8 Flat Floor

A highly desirable, original UK delivered, early Series 1 3.8 fixed head coupe Jaguar E-Type. Just one of only 150 flat floor examples built in right-hand drive and the 80th Series 1 off the production line in 1961.
Built December 1961 and delivered to Hatfields Jaguar, finished in Opalescent Silver Grey with Red interior, later registered in January 1962. The car is accompanied by an extensive history file with countless servicing, parts and work invoice alongside MOT certificates dated as far back as 1970.
Treated to a full nut and bolt restoration in 1994 and well toured in Jaguar circles and events.

I am not expert but the flat floor E types had a different bonnet with external square key catches and welded in lourves ?

I think its true to say that all the flat floors had the welded louvers but only the very early RHD FHC cars had the Outside Bonnet Latch ....... in fact only 500 external bonnet latch cars were ever made, of those, 385 were left-hand drive roadsters, 20 left hand drive coupes, 91 right hand drive roadsters, and 4 right-hand drive coupes........ this car is nice but there are many items which are not standard - like the header tank, radiator, fan, gear knob etc ..... but hey I wouldnt hand it back if it was given to me ....LOL
