Jaguar X350 XJ6 Inlet manifold removal guide for spark plugs, coil packs and top radiator hose

How to remove the inlet manifold on the X350 XJ6 with the 3.0L AJ-V6 engine, to access coil packs and spark plugs. Also included is some brief instructions on how to change the top radiator hose at the same time.

Great help im doing the plugs on my 3ltr xf which is exactly the same, ive removed the drives side scuttle but i think it could be done without this being done.

Thanks for the info very helpful. I have an XF 3.0 V6 petrol which I think is the same engine as yours! I need to do my plugs as the car has just done 70k. Been doing some research and as you say very little about this job so your video was welcome and gave me some tips. Agree the manifold bolts should be torqued properly - did you change the inlet manifold seals when you did your plugs? Certainly a much bigger job than changing plugs on most cars! Watched the video on Jayem's channel of your Jag which was great - think you got a bargain.

I'm glad it's been of help - if I'd realised how much work was involved I'd have done a better how to video on it. I didn't do the manifold seals, but I'm needing to go back in to do the cam cover gaskets so I'll probably do them at the same time 👍 Thanks for the kind words R.E. Hi George, at 6:26 you show an electrical plug and then 3 seconds later you talk about a duplicate plug. I believe the duplicate (lower) plug is inlet manifold control valve (XR815344 or C2S42607), what's the top one for?

@@georgemayson4936 Don't worry! I found out in the end, there are two inlet manifold control valves, both identical (same part numbers), one for the left bank and the other for the right bank.
