This didn't fix my issue unfortunately, seemed like the number plate housing lenses were glued in previously and when I changed a dead bulb the water may have seeped into the camera as it went from working fine to intermittant to now " camera not available contact dealer" permanently. anyone know hoe to get the camera out 2012 XF?

Ha ha… I did all that on my XF. Most of the forums seem to suggest that loom is a common point of failure. So I bought a new genuine Jaguar one from a Jag dealer in the UK - was about $200 by the time it got to Australia. It didn’t work. I then bought some cheap sensors from Alibarba, $28 for 4 postage paid. Camera then worked perfectly. So I put the old loom back in - everything still fine. I now have the brand new loom sitting on the shelf if anyone wants one!

Hi Steve, thank you for watching and for your feedback. I'm surprised you could not find a Jaguar main agent in your country. Which sensors did you buy?

Bumper sensors - the whole camera system packs it in if one is out. Need to take the bumper off but very easy to fit. I find it hard to get Jaguar parts in Aus and they’re way overpriced at the dealer.

Same problem here. What kind of "cheap sensors" do you mean? And how to replace? Thanks a lot for your help
@stevezodiac1604 ай бұрын
@@berndharnisch6503 Easy - just remove the rear bumper. A few nuts inside the boot, remove the rear lights first, a few of those plastic fasteners around the bottom edge and inside the wheel arches, then the bumper just pops off, watch the wires still attached. The sensors are just a bayonet type fitting, easy to replace. I got my sensors from Ali barber - very cheap non original knockoffs but they’ve been fine. There are a few part numbers so check yours first. The Jaguar ones were 5 X the price each of a full set on Ali barber so I thought they were worth a go. I still have a brand new genuine Jaguar loom and a second set spare of AiBarber sensors if anyone wants them. I’ve sold my X250 and bought a petrol X260, which is nice but I miss the 250 diesel economy.

I have a similar issue with the camera and parking sensors. I have heard as said previously that if one sensor goes it cuts everything out. Does that mean that the parking sensors are disabled if it is only the co-axial that is faulty?
