Jaguar XFR Carbon Fibre Rear Diffuser upgrade (XFR-S Style)

Bought a carbon fibre rear diffuser from AliExpress for only £230!!! Was it worth the risk??
Or should I of waited for “Vehicle Revolution” to get some more back in stock for £350?

Thanks for the informative vids, I seem to be following you in the same mods for my XF , Carbon Fibre side mirror covers, LED side mirror indicators already. Aliexpress Carbon Fibre Diffuser from & Carbon Fibre rear wing on the way, but so long in waiting due to the Chinese New Year & general delays in transporting these days. Your vids certainly give a good insight on how to tackle these mods. Cheers

@@69racer69 my boot spoiler I went down the plain style. I see yours is the M4 style & hope you get it sorted, it will look fantastic. In hindsight I wish I had sourced the same look

Best way to secure it is remove the rear bumper and drill holes in some of the tabs on the diffuser from the back. In the holes apply a thick piece of glue which will set and essentially act as a pin so the tabs cant slide out of the slots. Plus the glue can be pushed back out of the holes if you ever want to remove the carbon and go back to standard

Yeah, like I said with mine. Kind of glued or sealed in. Plus mine was a two part bit so only the fin part is carbon fibre. Not taken off yet, so it must work. 😂😂🤞🏻👍🏻

I watched few of yours videos today and you had same issues with fitting like I had. Tabs on this valance are thicker then the original ones and not so detailed, also carbon fiber doesn't have same flexibility. To fit it right, I had to removed bumper off, then it was much easier to work with. I bought my valance from vehicle revolution and it's exactly same. Anyway I really like how this one looks

I was close to removing the bumper, but all is ok. I renewed the bottom fixings today with new ones too. So I’m happy with how it turned out. Always seem to have some sort of issue 😂

You're braver than me, I wouldn't order one from Ali express due to the unknown quality. It does look good in the video and I'm glad it fitted because once you get that spoiler on its going to look fantastic. Another job well done Shane. Keep them coming.

The more I watch your videos the more I regret getting a 3.0 S, I just in my mind couldn't justify the MPG. it would have cost a fortune daily. Don't get me wrong the 3S is faster than most on the road but I just miss that throaty growl. Your car looks fantastic, I just wish I had bigger balls.

I now live close to my place of work and that’s the only reason why I have been able to go back to the V8, so I feel your pain with the daily commute and that’s why I sold my last XFR and went to a Diesel, needs must, and you can’t kill yourself with fuel bills.

Has anyone installed K&N air filter's, on the XFR? Any issues with maf flow sensor's? There is a offer going on Amazon, £40 each K&N Filter.

I have the K&N panel filters installed. They have been fine.

Can I ask did the original come without fins? on your vid it looks quite plain, my XFR is a 2014 and has the fins already but not in carbon fiber, how did they leave the assembly line? is my version already moded or was it an option? Not planning to change my diffuser but love your vids.

The earlier models didn’t have the fins, they weren’t an option either. But the facelift had it as an option.

I cringed when you were taking the old diffuser off as I remembered how hard mine was and the two tabs that had tiger seal. You were way more patient than I, as I got in a mood and ended up ripping it. For the money I dont think that looks half bad at all.

I was getting close to ripping it off buddy, it was so frustrating, that’s why there wasn’t much filmed lol. Yeah it looks fine now it’s on, just disappointed it had thin bits. What did you put on yours?

@@69racer69 no not really IIRC I got it from Britpart the valance was around £80 and the diffuser was £170. The diffuser came painted gloss black but the valance only came primed. I got a local place to paint for £100. So whilst not cheap not expensive either, I wanted the OEM look.
