Hey John, thanks for watching. This car still turns heads and when I pass modern cars on the highway at 180 kph you can just see the envy and pride on their faces. They are both amazed and envious - they want one! LoL

Good morning from a soon to be snowy North Wales. I hope you are well and keeping safe. So updates for the problem we talked about previously is fuel slap.we were advised to allow the fuel to go down again, noise returned. Jaguar technician orated it wouldnt be bearings as there would be certain noises all the time. As we said i am letting you know👍 Kind regards. Caroline x
@carfanfan3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Caroline for letting everyone know here on the channel. Yeah, he's right. Wheel bearings will grind on turning, but will howl the moment you get over 45mph. Sounds like you have the fuel slap problem many Jaguar owners have. The fuel tank was upgraded, but I don't know when. They insert metal compartments with holes between them to allow the fuel to move around, but not to slap around. It's poor design really.

Hi Hilton, your car looks fantastic. Black wheels on a white car. Perfection. The carbon fibre rear spoiler is a very elegant addition. Also when removing the old double sided tape, you could use a caramel wheel. Take care. James.

Hi Hilton , I actually have a spoiler ready to fit in the boot of my ja but is so bloody cold and horrible here in the Uk I’m going to leave it till the spring . So are you going to black out some more of the chrome now ? Like on the wing emblems , the tops of the windows and maybe the boot strip between the rear lights 🤔 you have me thinking now 🤣 looks cool mate well done 👌
@carfanfan3 жыл бұрын
Thanks my friend. Yeah, I've definitely been thinking of making the chrome around the windows black. I have much research to do on how to remove it all without damaging it, but instead of wrapping it I'll probably have it hydro dipped for a longer lasting result. I saw a silver XFR for sale which had it done but the wrap was peeling off and it looked awful. 😉

Hi its lovely to see how you treat your cars with respect and love Can i ask you is it normal when the fuel goes low you get a clunk noise on the left of the car when you turn right? Hope to hear soon. Happy driving👍
@carfanfan3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Caroline. No, the clunk is not normal. Where is the noise coming from?
@carolinerowlands7423 жыл бұрын
@@carfanfan hello when the petrol light comes on there is a clunk from the front left wheel area when you turn right My hubby put petrol in and it went. We left it go to warning light fuel low to see if it did it again. Wellll it did. Its when you turn right. Put fuel in and it hasnt again since. Its by the left front wheel area.

One. Does not do it only when turning right for instance at a roundabout.
@carfanfan3 жыл бұрын
@@carolinerowlands742 my guess is you have a bad front wheel bearing. The reason it changes when your tank is full vs empty is the load in the car. Try letting the tank go to empty and load the trunk with some weight and see if the clunk goes away. That will be a dead giveaway 😉

Good evening. I hope you are tiptop and keeping safe from the dreaded Covid. Whilst i was speaking to you yesterday i forgot to ask the question can you have the aircon on heat on the cars or does it have to be always on cold? Forgive me if i sound dim but i dont know, then i thought but i know some one that will do!😀 Look forward to your reply. Warmest regards. Caroline x
@carfanfan3 жыл бұрын
Hi Caroline. My ac is always turned on whether I have it on heat or cool. It's best to keep it that way so the ac is always being used and keeps the seals lubed in the compressor. If you don't use for too long the seals become brittle and it starts to leak and a new compressor is expensive 😉
@carolinerowlands7423 жыл бұрын
Good morning.thanks for letting me know. 👍 so we can have it on heat then? I thought it was only that you could have it on cold🙈 Do i press the ac button or go to the menu were the settings are for setting windscreen, head and feet? Its all new to me🤪 Generally in the summer i just press ac,
@carfanfan3 жыл бұрын
@@carolinerowlands742 just leave the ac on and adjust your temp controls to the temp you want in the cabin. The car will do the rest.
