Great review. The cup holders were not stock as it came with ashtrays nor was a space saver tire (XJS came with a full size spare).

True! My 2+2 XJS has three ashtrays. They knew what was important back then.

the series 3 XJS a very good choice. the 4.0 6-cylinder is a much better option than the V12 in terms of consumption, maintenance and reliability. the 6 cylinder came from the X300 which turned out to be the best Jaguar engines.

Good review! Small correction: All Jags from at least 1970 all have a rack and pinion steering rack, no recirculating ball.

They have rack and pinion steering. It is also very light. What have you been driving for young man🙂

For a rack and pinion, steering has felt very vague and indirect. Even the X100 XK felt noticeably more crisp and sharp

@maz500 that was not the usual consensus with these cars there may be an issue with that particular car. It should probably be looked Serviced properly.
