Excellent step by step procedure and I like how you clearly show how to release the electrical connections and headlight washer hose. Those proprietary clips can be a real puzzle and easily damaged if not released correctly. Is there an electric fan in the air injection pump?

Once again, great video Paul! With just 40k on my 2007 XK the bulbs and lenses should be good for a bit more time. However I was wondering if there is any way to adjust the headlight beam. Mine is left hand drive and it seems the left headlight beam is tipped low, possibly to avoid blinding oncoming traffic. This of course is eliminated when high beams are on. When in low beam it seems to create a dangerous dark spot for the driver. The right side beam points higher up toward the curb line. If there is no adjustment I’m thinking it may be built into the headlight design? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jay

I have had a 2011 XK 5.0 for the past 8 years. I had a rear tail lamp go out, and the newer cars have sealed led lights on the rear... cost $350 for a light from a wrecking yard. The only problem I have right now is a drooping headliner. The cars are pretty easy to work on, have classic looks and are great to drive... i just worry about getting parts down the road.

Good evening again mate! quick question for you, I'm trying to decide what colour leds to order for the side marker and side lamp but I don't understand the differences. In my current car the side markers are activated manually by setting the lights to dipped after the ignition is off. They are just used to make the car visible in the dark. But are the side lamps (4 in the manual) like day running lights? (I can't check myself as I'm only doing a parts list for the future)

UK XK X150 use a orange side marker in the front outside area of the headlamp to comply with lighting regulations for the headlamp design, along with a white side light towards the inside of the headlamp. Some owners have replaced all four with white LED. I prefer the original spec.

Is it possible to just exchange the plastic cover of the headlight? I just bought a "new to me" right headlight which looks fantastic but came at a wopping price of $1500 vs $3200 new! My drivers side is still hanging in there but those prices are absolutely ridiculous and I just want a headlight that is free from oxidation.

Yes it's possible however would need a lot of patience and a heat gun. Not sure where you would find a lens to replace it with.

@combiuk make sure air filters are clean and none of the brakes are binding. Also tyre pressure. Is yours XKR? If so will be a bit more thirsty than mine.

Follow up question you have the orange side light, on the outwards facing side of each unit as well as the white light on the inner side. I assume the outwards facing is always on? or is it only switched on when the lights are in parked mode with the ? And is the inner white light used to illuminate turns? I'm thinking of converting both to white leds, thoughts? thanks again! I Know you had the blub types at the start of the video can you confirm where they are in the light? Thank you again :D

Also, I can't find anywhere showing how to change the foglights, are they accessed through the wheel lining? - Looking at your air filter video they appear to be the 90 degree style connector. And the rear foglights look like an inclosed led unit

Here in the states I get 24 and 32 mpg with 93 octane 0% ethanol. When using up to 10% ethanol mpg drops to about 20 and 28. 😮

Hi Paul never taken my xk out in the rain since ownership until today due to unforeseen circumstances 🤦🏼‍♂️ Pixxed it down after heatwave , And guess what after 100 yards ? Yep engine warning light came on 🤦🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️ well Sods Law 😂

The clips for the headlight washers just push down and slide off. It literally says this in the handbook. No need to take off the clip

It took me like 45 minutes.. only because the piece on the bulb was separated had the pry lil black folded wheel off
