Agreed, John, these were a fight, mate! But I managed to get them all out in the end with a blob of weld. It was not ideal, but it seemed to work.

Hi Matt, you are very right, the grinder did come out off camera to clean up my mess of the bolt so I could weld to it 😀 a right pain they are, but I am plodding on with them again today. How's your Jag looking mate?

Not sure if you have the access there Simon, but "easy-outs" would help heaps if you dont need to keep the screws.

Hi John, that's a good shout buddy. As you say, access is tricky with the hub and the lip of the backing plate 🤞

Hi Andrew, I really want to get them off so I can clean them up properly, and to give me access to the rear of the huc so I can clean that properly too. I guess I will just persevere, at least I can then replace them with some new bolts 👍

Rather than a short one I know longer ones exist the shaft of the Allen will miss the hub

Hi Paul, I do have longer ones, but I still find the angle not straight enough to get a good purchase. But I'll have a go with those, and see if I can have better luck as you suggest 😉

I agree that a long shaft would be best along with copious application of heat. Be sure to reinstall with copaslip to save the next poor sod....😂.! Greetings from France Q

😄 it's still a work in progress. I really need to get it out on the road and give it a really good blast! I have a deadline for the start of July to get it sorted as my eldest son wants it for his high school prom. Plenty of work still coming your way for sure 👍
