In the late 1990’s my boy lost his life letting the wrong person hold his gun too. Screw that. You living in the streets you can’t trust nobody that’s living that life, even a so called friend. Been about 17 years since I left that life behind. Back in the day when I caught a charge and was locked up I sure learned who my friends were. Not one of my so called friends put money on my books, wrote me back or even visited. Only people I could count on was my family. The word friend gets thrown around too easy. It’s a damn shame these kids are losing their lives and taking others lives at such a young age. There needs to be more positive adult role models in these hoods. Whether it’s family or some kind of mentorship program. Something needs to happen.

Her best friends little brother(13 yrs old) accidentally shot her in the head and killed her in the back seat of her best friends car. He got juvenile life(he will be released when he turns 18.) Its fucking devastating still and its almost been 5 years. Whats so sad is it was completely preventable. And they’re dumb. Everything is on social media and text messages. Phones gps gives away locations, and none of them can shoot so if they it right on a person they are hitting kids and other innocents.

These communities are so rotten .... I have no idea how to fix this . I mean, the issues with these kids go so beyond this court case. Look what they were engaging in daily before the crime. Kids should be studying, learning, doing school groups like sports or chess, and hanging out with friends but in a "healthy" way. If we are seeing this behavior in the kids then its certainly being at minimum allowed by their guardians. How can you even fix this? The problem is their entire being and way of life.

What is up with some of these teens?? At 17, I never thought about robbing, shooting, or k*lling someone. The only thing I was doing at 17 that was illegal was drinking beer and wine coolers behind my mother's back. I had a high school friend that looked older for her age. We use to go to a grocery store to buy it. Since she looked and was built like a young adult woman, she never got carded. I got bold one time and hid a bottle of wine cooler in my closet and when I went to get it the next day to consume with my dinner, it was gone. That's when I found out that my mom use to search my room when I was at school/work and rightfully so (a lot of these new age parents don't do this, but they need to). She took my diary, too. lol That was the last time I brought any alcohol into her house where she paid the bills.
