whenever a person shares their truth, and when real emotions are a part of that sharing, Love is there. That honest sharing of what IS, which allows Love to be present, is the goal (I think) of most all of the philosophical and religious systems in our world, in all times. When I was younger I thought Love was only about positive feelings. I liked music and art and poetry that spoke to me of beauty, light and goodness. I thought suffering was an error. Now that I am older I think there is no deeper love than to be present with our own self, and with others, in an embrace that includes the darkness. Somehow it transforms, and becomes a vehicle for balance when we do not cast darkness into the shadow realm. Suffering is not error....it is how the world is/was created. Yet we can stand and not be consumed by that fire if we allow what IS to be present, which of course includes darkness and suffering. That allowance brings proof in itself that Love and Light is actually our substance. We're all "Love Dogs", howling for home, and typically, when I feel the worst, it means I have forgotten that, backtracking into thinking suffering is an error. This album, more so than any other creative work of music, writing or image, helps me re-member the pure beauty and the Truth that lies in the struggle, and I am able to carry on. Deep gratitude for this album. Thank you.
