😂 Did no one watch the first fight in which the older fighter was beating up the younger guy in the second part of the fight, where he should’ve faded. Briedis has never been knocked down and will aim for the jaw, as soon as he lands a few on it Opetaia will be more cautious. It will be a great fight. Briedis wins either by stoppage or comfortably on the cards.

Breidis at his best is one of the best Cruiserweights of the last 20 years. Whenever he fought poor opposition he tended to fight down to that level and look pretty pedestrian which I think colours peoples view of him. The fight between Usyk and Breidis is one of the best fights of the last decade for me, and Breidis was superb in that fight. I feel like he may be too old now, but he's insanely tough and he managed to break Opetaia's jaw... Opetaia is a badass but he went into the trenches with Breidis and only just came out. This is not someone Opetaia can bulldozer, unless he's aged rapidly.

After watching mairis and usyk I always thought he would be undisputed and collect all the belts at CW as well but for some reason it never happened. Still the closest fight Usyks had to date imo.

If this rematch had happened sooner, possible that Breidas might have won the rematch. But it is nearly 2 years, and I can't see Breidas winning. I felt the first fight was an upset. But Opetaia being some 10 years younger and having boxed, though against inferior oppostion, have to give it to him. Breidis has a chance, but he has to land something big early. It would of course be interesting how these two would do against the other champs.

There are some boxers that need hype, need to shout, need to sell themselves. And then there are the rare few that can do all of that just by competing as their skills do much more than talking and they get instant fans after people watch them. Usyk is one, as an Englishman I watched his first fight with Joshua and naturally I sided with Joshua but before the bout had finished I was a big fan of Usyk and applauded his win. Opetaia is another one, his skills and power are a clear level above most and its frankly easy for an armchair fan to watch him and be able to recognize the difference Evander Holyfield another one, Salvador Sanchez, the list goes one but its not that populated, only the ones that do populate the list happen to be popular for the most part save for wizards like Emmanuel Augustus Id bet that Jai is going to be a hall of famer one day prediction Jai via KO round 5

Round 5 KO…Based on what? I understand that anyone can say anything, but you listing the names of great boxers points to your interest in the sport. However, interest isn’t everything. Briedis gave Usyk his hardest fight ever, from which Usyk walked away with a split decision win. Briedis has never been knocked down and all of a sudden he gets knocked out. I recommend you watch the first fight between Briedis and Opetaia on mute and count landed punches round by round. You’ll see that it’s a fight that Briedis won. Don’t forget that Opetaia had to have surgery on his broken jaw. So who out of the two has the ability to hurt the other more?

It might be that inactivity of Briedis has actually benefited him because he has finally properly healed from all the nagging injuries he had. On the other hand we have seen with AJ just how important staying active and sharp is. I believe this is going to be a great, close fight! It would be wise for people who dont rate Briedis to remember that he is the only man that has given Usyk real challenge.

Opetaia jaw was badly broken in this match, in pics you can see it hanging off when it was hit hard, for him to come through that and win was insane, I think he will knock out Briedis early. Opetaia is one scary fighter when he wants to be.

In his prime, in the mid 2010s, Briedis was very good and this version of him would have won 8-4 or 9-3. Now it's probably Opetaia again.

I would like to point something out that most are overlooking. It is that Briedis’ took a few rounds to figure Opetaia out and when he did, he, the older fighter, had stamina and boxing ability to dominate the later part of the fight inflicting significant damage. The jaw will be the target for Briedis’ best punch, his uppercut. Briedis wins comfortably.

After this fight…? Can you remind yourself what pressing activity did Jai have to attend to after their first fight. Briedis figured Opetaia out in the first fight and was able to dominate the second half of the fight putting real, not figurative damage on Opetaia. Briedis wins this one.

Based on what? A passage of two years? Opetaia is in his prime, Briedis is in decline. Do you know the fighters personally? Do you attend their training camps? It’s all nonsense. If Briedis prepares, he wins since he figured Opetaia out in the first fight to dominate the later rounds which the younger fighter should’ve taken. The once twice broken jaw is a massive target for Briedis’ best punch, his uppercut. As far as age goes, Beterbiev, Usyk and Briedis are all the same age. Beterbiev and Usyk have also had long periods of inactivity are they no good anymore as well? I don’t think so. I think Briedis wins comfortably. If there’s a stoppage, it’s Briedis stopping Opetaia (probably by targeting the jaw).

Based on what? Is it based on the fact that the older fighter busted up the younger fighter in second part of last fight? Or is it based on knowing that Briedis has figured Opetaia out in the first half of last fight and will also have a very specific target for his best punch, the target being the twice broken jaw and his favorite and best punch being an uppercut? What you see from Opetaia’s last two fights is him fighting low ranked and unranked opponents. It’s not an indication of greatness. Look up the records of both of those guys Opetaia fought after Briedis and you will understand that the quality of the opponent matters. Briedis wins this fight convincingly.

Briedis beat him fair and square. The fight was an Oz and promoted by Opetaia’s promoter. All he had to do is hang on Briedis at the end not to fall over to be gifted a decision. If you truly want to know who won, watch the fight on mute and count punches landed round by round. Briedis not only landed more punches, but they were more significant punches, Opetaia’s face after the fight in addition to the surgery speaks for itself. Briedis figured Opetaia out and he was stronger and better conditioned in the first fight evidenced by him putting on a clinic in the second part of the fight when the younger Opetaia should’ve dominated. But everyone sees what they want to see.
