They were also once known as the "nanny dog". My Pitty is amazing with my baby, she would do anything for her, she's constantly watching over her and is sooo protective, it's amazing.

at 2:06 - the kindness and caring those three guys show, while bathing the dog is very touching. These inmates are tough guys, doing time for crimes. And yet they are relaxed, and attentive to something other than their OWN situation - the well being of an animal, in their care. Great series. I am so enjoying this. Thank you, gentlemen.

Thank you Amy J., other than sitting here bawling, in a good way, I never knew of "Jail Dogs" exisited. What a wonderful program for a second chance. Convicts and abused or neglected animals really do come from the same place. Who better than convicts to rehilibate a broken animal? It is such a win-win situation for all those involved. Linda A.

These men are so articulate and well-mannered.. I would never think they we're criminals if I met them out in society. Beautiful program.

The guy at the end with the little scruffy white dog, kissing on him... Aww, it's frickin' cute. So lovely. I bet this was the LAST thing these guys thought they'd be spending their days doing when they went to prison!

I love how it's sad for them to let go of there dogs once they got adopted, but they were still thinking of saving another dog.

I love the comments about breeders at 10 minutes in. If people want a pure bred dog they need to look at shelters and rescues first! Also, it is sad that people still breed dogs when so many are being killed every day.

Question do the prisioners get recognised qualifications in dog training? Can they work towards getting qualifications in canine behavioural rehabilitation etc? What about learning how to set up a dog day care or something for when they get out? Give them qualifications and a means of earning an income away from the life they had before.

I do have a belief, any dog can be dangerous, but with the proper training and handling they can be your most loyal friend in the entire world it is just a question of how you treat and handle them.
