worked for my iphone 4s 5.0.1 and dint take more then 10 minutes! at first it had an error but i re tried it by unplugging my iphone and plugging it back in and it worked! very easy jailbreak thanks guy :)

@charlesnacho get a wired connection. if u have a laptop then just connect it to the router with an ethernet cable. that should make your internet better.

@RandomMovezz cydia is where you get the different effects on your ipod/iphone/ipad like when you scroll it will do something such as go up and down rather than left and right. you can also get video home screens and a bunch of other stuff you just need to search through cydia. hope this helped

FINAL COMMENT. This works on my iPhone 4S 32GB with 5.0.1 installed. Tips. Remove your passcode before jailbreaking. 2. Do not disconnect while jailbreaking. 3. Your computer may be slow while jailbreaking, don't worry. IT WILL WORK. JUST BE PATIENT. It works.

Just wanted to let yous know - make sure you remove password lock from your devices. I think this may have cause an issue with my iPad2. I started with windows 7 64 bit and had no issues JB my iPhone 4S but it took many many tries until i connected. Like the video said be patient, once it started the process took 5 minutes tops. Until the bar ws complete and I go a message "almost done...bla bla bla" I rebooted the device after this and after the absinthe icon process was done. Works Well Now!

Ok, I've had loads of problems and not much help but I've managed to crack it. 1) First off make a back up of your phone on itunes (just in case). 2) In your phone settings reset your phone, don't worry it won't delete anything. 3) Delete the absinthe that you downloaded from "Tyes" dropbox. 4) Search for absinthe 0.4. 5) Follow this video and it should work. tldr download absinthe 0.4 and it should work.

hey i get to the end where you have to click the absinthe icon, it then takes me to a page that says absinthe is now setting things up, stand by..... it shows a loading circle, and then nothing happens... it just stays on that screen... what should i do?

If Absinthe fails in the middle of it then try restarting your iphone, ipod, etc and try the process again. it worked for me

so I ran into VPN issue with my ipad 2. I reset everything and tried again and it worked. But now my photos icon is white. my photos come up and everything but the icon is white. I'm assuming it's the same issue you had. I tried to run the jailbreak again but it said ERROR your device is already jailbroken... or something like that.

The problem i am having is for few days all the apps i got from installnous was being shown as installed in apple app store but now it installs on my ipad2 but doesnt show as installed on apple store plus it charged me i got 2 emails from apple for the apps i downloaded from cydia. why is it happening should i signed out from my apple account and than get apps from cydia

Now with the Ipad2 i had issues...whole process took 2 hours. The JB process went smooth but when I clicked on the Absinthe icon it would not connect to URL. I tried VPN multiple time in various sequences ((before & after) i click Absinthe icon and nothing. VPN also gave me an connection error . I also tried rebooting several times, I almost gave up but I kept trying to JB and then un-JB and then it finally connected with no need to VPN. I never had to resort to original factory settings !!!!
