@@Redxminder There are rare cases but yes, there are many things you can do in a studio to help you out, including taking several takes until you fucking nail it hahaha but also some minor after effects which is fine because in beatbox battles the loop stations have them aswell so you can play around a bit more with sounds. Oh I just thought of pentatonix, I like a couple of songs, they do the same. Yes its acapella but you bet they add some studio magic for the videos that are not live hahaha. I guess what I mean is, theyre not trying to fool anyone, they know that someone who is educated in music will notice there are some effects added, or something polished, no biggie. No autotune though!

The bass is inward lip rolls... A technic were you breath in to the side and your lips vibrate. Since you're breathing in, the sound resonates deep in your vocal cords making it very deep... This sound is so cool, i can spam it line crazy... Also you can control the pitch of it with micro adjustments with the placement of your lips... It's very much real...maybe a bit of reverb... But it's a very powerful bass on a microphone...

Kind of depends on which bass sounds you mean, the sub-bass lip roll they do depends a lot of mic proximity, but it does it really hard at competitions. The “throat bass” singing they do uses the false folds similar to certain kinds of throat singing and metal vocals. There’s live performances from them on Swissbeatbox in the competition if you want to compare.

I appreciate you voicing your suspicions, rather than harboring them in silence while letting it color your reactions in future. There's a lot of technical knowledge in Beatbox and you wouldn't have necessarily known about the live performance of the routine without asking about it. Taras Stanin is another highly musical beatboxer who has gone viral recently because on top of his insane singing and technical skill he is also a producer and sound engineer who does post processing. However, for his GBB Solo Wildcard he did his Creepin' routine raw (SBB has strict regulations on what can be done for wildcard submissions.) Jairo, Rogue Wave, Taras and Improver and YA NA HA have been pushing beatbox into the realm of accessibility.

i understand how suspicious you can be, of course, thoses videos are a bit edited, like all musicians do. with reverb ect, but the mouth sound itself is not. and hearing it in live can make us seeing the difference. but it still very good. if u liked it, i don't know if you have seen many beatboxers, i can recommand you ENEL (the song Feel my bass), or even Taras Stanin. Nothing is fake in real beatbox, if they made GBB, they have some rules, beatboxers have to send them unedited songs they made ect... to prove that they are real. so if u see some artists coming from GBB or others big beatbox platforms, they are not fake. even if the music sound like faked. its the beauty of human voice :) like throat singing ect... its amazing in beatbox btw.

You've been at 9.99k since 11pm last night...again at 4am...I really need to get some work done. And Congrats in advance...I assume you'll hit 10k before the end of the day. They do that same song live @GBB if you're suspicious watch that. Bass voice is "throat bass" (from mongolian/tuvian throat singing). Low sub-bass is "lip roll" (air dragged inward in the mouth, no voice). This version is produced, so Compression/EQ/Reverb, but nothing extra is layered.
@dyoung35369 ай бұрын
Thanx for the added info@@jasondunbar2412 !
@kanyegrande43129 ай бұрын
The deep bass has no layers, probably enhancments but no extra layers. In essence, the technique is done by activating your ventricular (false) folds. When you use them in tandem with your modal voice, a subharmonic is created from the vibrations in your voice and the vibrations in the false folds. (If you’re a bit confused on subharmonics, when two vibrations collide, a resultant pitch is created that is the difference of the frequencies, so when you play two notes a perfect fifth apart, a subharmonic pitch is created one octave below the fundamental). It’s the same technique done when you do mongolian throat singing, just on steroids.
