Jaishankar Meets Chinese FM As Ladakh Standoff Enters 5th Year, Tells Him ‘Respect LAC, Ensure…’

Indian foreign minister S. Jaishankar met his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on July 4 on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Astana, Kazakhstan. Jaishankar told Wang that "respecting the lac is essential." Both Jaishankar and Wang also "discussed early resolution of remaining issues in border areas." The two sides agreed that prolonged tension at Lac is not in the interest of either side. Watch

I hope they do what these ppl ate saying but maybe its too late knowing that both parties are not ready to negotiate. You don't make big fishes discuss the issue and think century old problems will be sort out like this. And recently India is also very uninterested in solving problems the ,the EAM has now said so for now i trust him . But india getting allied with west is a major concern if this is not addressed then its going nowhere, tell me if i remember correctly inly 2 friction points remain now in LAC so if we solve them everything will go back to normal??? Like before ?? No it will not border issue is a excuse of EAM, bcoz now west won't allow india to build friendly realtions with china ,u need more proof see Modi is where in the SCO summit he is not present when he is a member of the organisation but he goes to G7 where he was only a guest. Its hypocrisy on both sides i don't blwme anyone current EAM policies are not good and wang yi is not looking currently in matter if qi quang would have been here this would not have happened, i believe he had the power to push for negotiations. Thankfully it seems both parties still have some sense trying to talk atleast so lets hope for good.
